  1. Joining Flynnatic in being vague, I can trade anyone and trade for any position. I'm in a position where I can take on a bunch of salary though, but there'd have to be a reasonable talent gap to make that work.
  2. You can put anyone anywhere you want. Just keep in mind that defense is important (not everyone seems to think that thus far) and will factor in the voting. That said, I'm putting people in the chart under likely positions, but if you want people switched around (taking Jbay's example, Dunn playing first and Fielder DH'ing) then just let me know and I'll reorganise the chart.
  3. Flynnatic is up, and Jbay, you'd better get out of here before Dipre signs on. (But send me your picks before you log off)
  4. Y228, did you get Dipre's message.
  5. Could you be any more vague?
  6. This will be the thread where people can discuss who they are putting on the trading block, what they want in return, and they can report trades if they are agreed upon. Just remember: 1. All trades have to be agreed upon by both parties and specifically notified to me of their agreement. 2. All trades must have an equal number of players on each side. 3. (For now) All of the salaries will be following the players. 4. Since I'm allowing draft picks to be traded, their has to be the same amount of picks on either side. So one person can't trade a player and a pick for just a player. The number of picks has to be even as well as the number of players. 5. Dipre's Guidelines straight from The Boss: A. No discussing trades that aren't yet agreed to. B. After trades are agreed to, people will have an opportunity to speak on the trades, ie speak their mind if they are fair or unfair. C. Trades can be vetoed if they are very lopsided. Trades would not be vetoed solely if one person "wins" the trade or if it isn't balanced 100%, but if one person is clearly taking advantage of other people, then there will be fair opporunity for a veto. (This should hopefully satisfy those that want to argue with trades that don't involve them) D. Dipre is still 100% against trading draft picks. It sounds beautiful in name, but it's exponentially more difficult than what is assumed, because of the difficulties in tracking, the possibilities for mixups and possible discontent if a player someone expected to pick is no longer therewith money, there is a cap for a reason, and it's to not allow people to cheat the system and build a juggernaut, so no. Any other modifications will be made available for everyone. You can present your own ideas and we'll work on finding something that works for everyone.
  7. We also have enough time left in the day to be able to skip him and move the draft reasonably into the next round, but that would require a lot of us to be online. I don't think that's what's going to happen or anything. I just hoped that he'd make his pick before 4pm so that we would skip someone and still get a pick in later today if necessary. In any case, I'm going to create the thread for the draft trading discussion. People can say what they are offering, what they are looking for, and they can use the thread (as well as PM's) to negotiate trades, as well as to report trades that have been agreed upon.
  8. Dipre and I are looking into it and we'll figure it out. Anyway cmon Jbay!!
  9. Flynnatic, just make sure that if you're going somewhere, that you send me your 2 picks and a backup before you log off. That way if Jbay makes his pick I can make my 2 picks and your 2 picks and get right back to Jbay.
  10. I really hope that Jbay makes his pick by 4...
  11. Plus it makes teams more flexible. A team could forget about someone and draft someone else and decide to trade later, and teams that are well over the salary cap won't be completely screwed because they can trade to get under the cap. I doubt that many trades will happen right away, but I think that the right thing to do would be to open the floor for such behaviour. If enough people support it then I'll make a draft trading thread and negotiations could begin.
  12. I'm sorry dude, but I think that it's kind of funny that it would literally be the very next pick taken. Granted, I'd rather have that happen than to have it be the pick JUST BEFORE you pick again. That'd be even more annoying.
  13. HAHA was that your other ideal pick?
  14. Actually now that I pulled it up, Keeper had sent me Brett Anderson SP 500k You're up Y228.
  15. You're up Keeper. I'll let you make your pick.
  16. Your picks aren't that far apart JE. That said, I'm glad that you're still alive and back online.
  17. Since it's a really slow draft day, Dipre and I were talking and Dipre came up with the idea of opening a trade window. Originally, we figured that we'd only allow trades at the end of the draft, but depending on your opinions, we can allow trades at any time for the rest of the draft. There will be a separate thread for trade discussion, and there will be a few conditions (which were my idea) before a trade can be processed. 1. Both teams have to clearly agree to the deal. Both teams would have to post in the trade thread (or message me at the least) and say that they agree to trade person x for person y (or person y for person x in the other person's case) 2. The number of players has to be the same on each side of the deal. So there can't be a 2 for 1 trade. It'd have to be 1 for 1, or 2 for 2 etc. 3. The full salaries travel with the player. So whoever trades for someone like Sabathia would have to inherit all $23 million of salary.
  18. Over/Under on 5 picks getting made today?
  19. Cmon Jacoby Ellsbury, you were online as WhiskeyBreath was making his pick.
  20. I wouldn't be surprised if Jacoby Ellsbury came back on shortly, so it's good to know that you're online (and still alive) Keeper.
  21. Also WhiskeyBreath, I had Max Scherzer (good pick btw) at 1.45 million.
  22. Did Jacoby Ellsbury just sign off?
