  1. I agree, in any case where is Y228?
  2. The only thing I'll say to that is that if you picked a closer who has avoided signing with a team if he couldn't close, or has thrown a fit towards being a set up man, then that might count against you. Obviously Kimbrel hasn't done so, and it is hard to predict the exact roles that people will be put into for their respective teams (long relief especially) so as I had said earlier, it isn't a big deal. I notice and think about these things, which was why I mentioned it. I didn't want to make people panic.
  3. Don't worry about it. I wish that I could tell you that there was a strict guidline towards voting, or that it was consistent, but it really isn't. People are going to do the power rankings the way they see fit, and I can only speak for myself. That said, some of those intricate things noted are mostly factored into the voting, if at all. Most of the time the power rankings are solely talent oriented. Not to mention that a lot of people in this redraft (Will, Dipre, Exman, You, Keeper, A700) haven't done a redraft before, or at least haven't been in one that I have done, so this is a new process for many, and it's a work in progress from previous redrafts. I know that things aren't run perfectly here, but I'm doing what I can to improve it from previous redrafts and hopefully it'll do something to pave the way for better redrafts in the future. For one thing, I'm amazed at how fast this is going as opposed to other redrafts.
  4. For the record, I said that it wasn't a big deal.
  5. I think he's likely going to be the closer for Atlanta, which may make it tougher to grade him as a setup man for your bullpen. It's not a huge deal, but it's certainly worth noting.
  6. Nice, in any case, you're up after WB.
  7. Dipre's going to make JE's pick again, but this will at least save time waiting for him.
  8. WB is up next, anyway A700, are you going to use JA Happ as your 5th starter or a long reliever?
  9. It's more of a scouting issue with me. There are many kinds of walks. Ignoring intentional walks and sticking to the non-intentional kind, Marmol walks hitters much like Dice-K in the sense that he is stubborn and won't give into batters. They will both throw their pitch regardless of the count. Kimbrel walks batters because he's wild. It's almost as if Kimbrel is looking for the strike zone like you or I would look for a girls G spot. The phrase "little man in the boat" actually means something. A lot of scouting reports warn of this.
  10. At that price, probably, but considering how volatile relief pitching is, he isn't a horse that I'd bet on. Especially with his minor league track record.
  11. And if he can prove to consistently do that on a larger than 20.2 inning sample size then I'd totally buy the Marmol comparisons.
  12. Potentially, he has the strikeouts for sure, although his minor league numbers don't suggest that he'd be nearly as good, or even worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence. But if he can build upon his major league numbers, then he can be a force. I would have taken him a while ago if I wasn't scared off by his minor league numbers or if he had a large sample size of success in the majors.
  13. Forsyth wanted Craig Kimbrel RP 400k
  14. I think it was Dipre's pick. Anyway he'll take Aramis Ramirez 3B 15.75m By the way, you changed your pick from what you sent me.
  15. I think he's already taken. Check the chart under "RP"
  16. Technically 10:32pm, although it should have been an hour or so earlier if I didn't get caught up after Divinity picked. In any case, I doubt that Exman gets skipped, and even if he does, I have Dipre's pick, your pick, and Forsyth's pick, so we'd still be able to get more picks in today.
  17. Once Exman picks, I have Dipre, RSFFL, and Forsyth's picks.
  18. Sorry guys, I had gone out to lunch and I ran into a friend of mine who randomly asked me to help him move some stuff, so I got a bit sidetracked. Anyway, Ytrb wanted Brian Duensing SP/RP Exman is up.
