    While I don't like players who trash talk for no reason, I'd respect him more (only slightly more) if he was a man and stood by what he said. People like Rex Ryan or Antonio Cromartie or a million others may look like idiots when they talk trash, but when they are called out on it, they stand by what they said. LeBron is a b**** who can't stand by what he says and tries to manuever himself "out of trouble" as if he had diplomatic immunity for the stupid s*** he says. It's one thing to be an a**, but it's another thing to be an a** and not stand by it.

    I thought that Dipre had posted this already, but he came up with the idea of having a 2 day free agency period after the draft is over (when Flynnatic makes his damn picks). However, to discourage people from adjusting picks, people have to pay the FULL salary of the players that they pick up, and 10% of the salary of the players they drop. That should make a fair for those who drafted their players right the first time. And since I doubt that any teams are in danger of going over the cap, it shouldn't be a huge deal. Thoughts?

    I'd agree with you if there was a rule stating that only one closer can get into the hall of fame. Obviously Mariano Rivera defines a lot of modern perceptions of the ideal closer, and the ideal person, and he will most assuredly be a hall of famer. That however, does not mean that other closers are not HOF worthy. While Trevor Hoffman isn't the same as Mariano Rivera, I don't think that people can look at his achievements and not deem them HOF worthy.

    Although LeBron is right, he's still a douche for rubbing in Cleveland's loss to the Lakers. I hope the Heat lose by 55 in their next game. Edit: In all fairness, I hope the Heat lose by 55+ in every game, but that has nothing to do with LeBron's recent d-bag move.

    This wasn't even the half of it. The real "fun" starts with the power rankings and voting. That is when we all start to hate one another.

    Ok, we will handle "free agency" when all of the draft picks are in. I'll talk with Dipre about it before I make any official rulings.

    And compare that to the payrolls of many rosters. The 110 million is less than the payrolls of the Angels (121), Cubs (144), Mets (126), Phillies (138), Red Sox (168), Tigers (133), and Yankees (213). Had I thought more about it, I probably would have set the cap at an even 100. Although I doubt many more teams are in between the 100 and 110 million caps, I know the White Sox are one of them.

    Exman, put a space in between the : and the first letter of everyone's names. For example, Pedroia and Young both have names beginning with "D" When you combine the ":" and the "D" you get the ":D" smiley.

    Yeah, a lot of teams could have made it under 100 million if need be. It was surprisingly easy to finish under the cap.

    I was deciding between 2 players, and since I doubt that anyone really needs cap relief, I might as well go with the more expensive player and hope he has a better season. Anyway, I'll take Mark Buerhle SP 14 million

    I don't know really. I guess we can take any amount of time to make our lineups. I'd hope that people update their clubhouses and make their lineups within the next week or so in order to get started on the initial power rankings. As long as it's done before the regular season starts, then we're good. None of the actual voting is done until after the season.
