  1. I think that "shouldn't" would be a better word at this point. Considering the abortion of a season we've had thus far, you never know what can happen.
  2. Technically, couldn't the person "receiving" the bid just outbid the person by a couple bucks or something? I just don't think that it's really fair. The only reason that one should change players is because of an injury, which is reasonably out of their control, rather than dropping an egg by making a bad choice. Besides, I don't want to go through the effort of tracking the remaining transactions, even doing power rankings each month would be enough of a pain in the ass. I don't even care that much anymore.
  3. I don't see it happening, so unless Dipre or a majority of people want something like that, then I don't see it working. This isn't a fantasy league.
  4. If we win tonight, we can tie our season long winning streak of 1.
  5. Yeah, we'd have to win 1 game first before we can win two in a row.
  6. I'd hope for a 1-0 Sox win, since I have Price on my team. As long as the Sox win I'll be happy. Let's add a win to BPEF's mojo.
  7. To be honest that'd give an unfair advantage to people that check this all the time, not to mention that it'd be a lot of pain in the ass transactions, especially when you factor in the salary rules. Again, we can get Dipre's opinion on it, but I want this to be a competition on who drafted the best, not who had the fastest trigger and picked up someone like Ogando.
  8. Josh Beckett. lol j/k
  9. Especially because he was relatively unheard of coming up, and that he was a reliever last year, and I don't think he's had a lot of starting experience. I remember reading his story in one issue of ESPN the magazine, but that was a while ago.
  10. In his debut, Ranaudo pitched 5 scoreless innings, allowing 3 hits and a walk, and striking out 4. He threw 75 pitches and topped out at 95 mph.
  11. I imagine. With a common name like that, to be honest I have a tough time telling these guys apart. Anything with "red sox" or "sox" or individual player names tend to get so repeated that unless they post for a long time, it's hard to remember which user is which. It took me forever to tell "the destroyah" and "pedroia destroyah" apart.
  12. Yeah, I don't really know what happened either. Although this guy didn't join a few days ago like the other GoBruins account did, nor did he post as often. This guy had joined almost a year ago.
  13. Yeah, I've got a million other things in my life to worry about before this. Yeah, this certainly sucks and I'm not even remotely happy about it, but in the scheme of things I don't really care that much. I know that the Red Sox are a better team than that and won't finish in the basement. While I feel we all have the right to be pissed off at the team, I think there's no real reason to panic, especially when a lot of losses have come from random bad breaks and unlucky positioning.
  14. Other than the fact that some people are foolish enough to waste time researching that statistic and that others are even more foolish to act like it means something and expound upon it.
  15. Can we start temp-banning "certain people" after Red Sox losses? Especially to the Yankees?
  16. Oh well, thank god that I just got home and didn't have to sit through this game. I guess that being forced to go to my little cousin's birthday party and have to watch the movie "HOP" at 9:30am with dozens of screaming 6 year olds wasn't so bad by comparison.
  17. Let's keep it going. I'm going to be stuck at my 6 year old cousins birthday, so I'm not sure if I will be able to watch. That said, almost all of that side of the family is Yankees fans, so I'm sure that someone will keep tabs on the game.
  18. Damn you Nick Swisher for taking out Nishioka. You rat bastard.
  19. Since when did we start locking old gamethreads? Is that a new routine?
  20. Didn't think that I'd see a Vinnie Jones reference today.
  21. I think that the Red Sox looking at the Rays and feeling better by comparison is like having Cleveland feel like it's not the worst city in the country because they can look down on Detroit.
  22. I guess we get what we pay for, and we didn't pay for enough. Maybe we should start a Red Sox fund drive where we can purchase more talent, or maybe even buy wins.
  23. So who dares make the gamethread for the next game?
  24. So much for your mojo 22407
