    Something has got to give with Crawford... he's too good of a hitter for this s*** to carry on for the first half of the season. Best thing Tito can do right now is keep him in one spot and stop moving him around everyday. Just let him get consistency... best spot is where he is right now, or lower.

    I'd rather send Doubront down for a bit to stretch out and bring up Rich Hill (8.2 IP, 5 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 11 K through 4 outings @ Pawtucket) to replace him. We might have to suffer through one or two more s*** starts out of Dice-K, but eventually we'd be alright IMO.

    If they haven't started talking with a team in Japan about a possible purchase of Dice-K, I'd recommend doing that as soon as tomorrow's game is complete. I don't know how it would work, but at this point, I'd take just about anything in return, especially money that could go towards off-setting what's left on his contract. Selling him to a team over there allows both sides an graceful departure from each other, as the Sox would get something in return (as opposed to nothing if they DFA him), and Dice-K would be able to return home to a place where his style works and he can pitch well in front of his fans.
