    maybe a better question would be do you know the difference between funding and lending ? the only stories I have read were about the yanks seeking and getting tax free bonds all legal and quite normal what's the big deal, if you know 1/2 as much as it seem you do you know this stuff goes on all the time especially when a team threatens to leave town the yanks bring in big bucks from the nyc sales tax were you upset when the sox were getting tax free bonds for the renovations they made ? or when some small town in fla built them a spring training site all with tax payer money

    I never heard him say that, and it would be wierd considering how good he is with pop ups I know arod has said similar things the only way I can see jeter saying that would be if he was joking when someone asked if he should move to CF you can call it a hunch, his arm is good enough for LF and his numbers would be more in line with a LF than a 1B ( not that, that matters much to me ) I figure he like anyone else, is going to resist the thought of giving up SS but if you have yogi and all his rings in the room how can jeter say no I don't know I think my hunch about you is standing pretty tall

    I know he's '' one of the top 5 hitters of the last 10 years in baseball, bar none. '' do we need a #3 or 4 ? yeah I think so, but we can trade for 1 and there are plenty of teams that have won without this guy I'd rather not root for a guy who bullies a 65 yr old travel secretary we have only talked about the contract / off the field stuff the guy is a clown on the filed who needs it

    whoa at first I thought you were talking about me ;-) you seem to be the only one that remembers how he forced the sox to trade him and give up the option yrs. his knee was so bad he couldn't remember which one it was when they forced him to go to the doctors he made a mockery on the spirit of the contract the owners should risk the fine to prevent others from trying it and most of all prevent him from getting rewarded for it I can't beleive after yrs of arguing with RSN about what a bum this guy is , now I'm fighting with nyyfans who I guess have little principle's or pride

    you mean like collusion, probably so but the union didn't press it much with bonds after threatening to , granted they had less of a case but they would look pretty foolish sticking up for this clown IMO if it prevents any other players from trying it I think the fine would be worth it but I know that would call for principle's and it's not likely to happen then again maybe they can use the economy as an excuse

    1st I'm a Baseball fan who tries to keep it real buy yeah I'm a MFY fan who watches both teams games side by side just about every night you know how it is , if I can't watch the yanks win that night watching the sox loose is almost as good yes it has been a couple of tough years
