  1. @gfstarr1 The Red Sox announce they’ve claimed RHP Zack Weiss off waivers from the Los Angeles Angels and optioned him to Triple-A Worcester. To make room on the 40-man roster, they transferred RHP Corey Kluber to the 60-Day Injured List. Looks like that puts a fork in the tenure of Corey Kluber. Retirement?
  2. @PeteAbe Betts reiterated several times that he wanted to stay in Boston. Nothing but good things to say about the Sox. Said he would recommend to any player to come here.
  3. @alexspeier Mookie says he may go candlepin bowling while here.

  5. He's not on the active roster. He's in AAA. He pitched on Tuesday for WOO. He's been there since the end of July.
  6. 59th according to FanGraphs.
  7. Is this an Opener and Pivetta game?
  8. I know that my entire family has been sick this week and that my throat was a little sore this morning, but this post makes my brain swim.
  9. Well, it's at least vaguely relevant today as it's his first game back at Fenway tonight.
  10. Also, happy anniversary to the original Dodgers trade in 2012!
  11. 54 HR's seems awfully light though. Maybe need to add another digit in front of the 5.
  12. Hard to say what is true. However, I believe the Sox could have put an amount on paper to get Mookie to stay.
  13. Luciano was Born 2/15/00 (if he ever existed) and appeared in a game in March 2019 making him 19.
  14. Once he's in MLB, the pitchers will just not throw him a strike. He'll still make contact, but the contact will be weaker than what we've seen in MiLB. I don't believe he'll ever improve with his pitch recognition.
  15. I think it depends on how soon they think Roman Anthony could be ready. If they think Anthony could contribute in 2025, you can roll out Verdugo in 2024 knowing that you have a replacement the following year. LF Abreu CF Rafaela RF Verdugo I guess it would depend on what they see Duran's ceiling on and what the trade return is.
  16. Those women's fertility drugs really turned him into a Karen!
  17. Didn't he try to fight Youk?
  18. I think it's going to be 84 wins.
  19. Casas needs to play daily.
  20. Abreu is a good player, but not better than the guys you listed. He’s in the rotation for next year as I have suggested the past few weeks, but that still is depending on Verdugo being traded. He’s a LHB, so there’s no platoon with Masa, Duran or Verdugo. He’s behind those three. His defense is on par or better than Verdugo’s. I’m unsure how well his bat can play long term, but he has pop and knows how to take a walk. Duran LF Rafaela CF Abreu RF That’s an athletic and dynamic OF. Refsnyder can sub for LHP (if he learns to hit again).
  21. The truthiness will set you free.
  22. No, he was certainly the only person saying that Ohtani was an injury risk on here.
  23. I mean, have you seen THE FUNDAMENTALS of these guys? Devers can't even throw the ball 125' to first base!
  24. Polygraph, or hand on the Bible true, Ozzie and Jose Canseco played in my softball league in LA.
