    NFL Draft

Patrick Chung is a great pick. He's definitely a Belichick guy, has great leadership skills. The Pats weakness has been the secondary for quite a while and I just hope that they can finally settle things down. I don't know much about Butler and Brace.
  2. we should all be so lucky.
  3. it's still april, right? who cares. also, there's 3 outs to go.
  4. flashbulb conversation... wow... great...
  5. cano, i will always hate you for killing my fantasy team last year.
  6. I love the hats and the jerseys. I never really liked the gray/red away uni's anyway. They are 1,000,000 x better than the home alternate d.lowe jerseys...
  7. 4? He played for Toronto in 92 and 93.
  8. Bergeron has a nice little left hand there...
  9. They went to Pierce on the previous play and the officials bailed him out when the ball went out of bounds. Ray had a decent look. It just didn't fall.
  10. http://www.neshq.com/media/mag/basewars.jpg Looks nothing like George Kottaras.
  11. We'd have to select a DH? Pfft... And I'm totally going to forget my login over the next 5 years.
  12. No it's what someone says when they've actually watched someone pitch throughout a season and doesn't just pull numbers from the internet.
  13. After watching penny in LA the past two years, I have to say I'm not looking forward to the back of our rotation. He has great stuff, but has never really been able to put it all together. I just see the AL East hitting him really, really hard.
  14. (Sorry if this is in the wrong forum. I didn't see anywhere else to ask the question.) By some stroke of luck, I'm drafting first in my fantasy league. I know all about the SS position scarcity, but should I take Pujols instead of Hanley Ramirez? My thinking: Pujols is just a monster. He's the most consistent baseball player of his generation. Last year, everyone was worried about his elbow but he still dominated. I know Hanley Ramirez gets a ton of steals (which may decrease since he'll be batting 3rd) and that he should have more RBIs this year, but I just don't know if I'm really sold on him.
  15. I think it's more hyperbole than prediction.
  16. I think people go out of their way to find reasons not to like the WBC. The sky isn't falling.
  17. I'm wondering if they only brought Bard in in case Tek didn't resign. Either way, I don't think there is that much of a difference between Bard and Kottaras.
  18. As for Gedman, his problems started during the 86-87 offseason when he wasn't allowed to sign with the sox until May 1. He struggled to regain his form afterwards and then dealt with injuries off and on for the rest of his career. That offseason really put him behind the 8 ball (thanks owner collusion!).
  19. Actually, he's shown that he's a true Boras client ever since he left Georgia Tech.
  20. And what if he has zero interest in "just being a coach?" I just think you can plug him in there for 3 out of 5 games this year and then 1 out of 5 games next year while still enjoying his leadership qualities.
  21. I'm not sure that Billy Beane is all that worried about it. I'm actually surprised that he hasn't made a run at Dunn too.
  22. http://www.boston.com/sports/ot/ Everything article on there is virtually unreadable. I can't believe anyone gets paid for that tripe.
