1. Well duh, but that doesn't mean people don't have a reason to complain.
2. Is he "average" or a "backup?" You state both. Is he a backup forced into a starting role? Whatever the issue, he has played well at times and poorly at other times. I'll give him credit for the good days if you give him grief for the bad days.
3. Who cares about errors when he has a weak arm and no range? Exactly! He's not a SS. He's a 2B, so why is he our everyday SS? Also since when has someone with a weak arm, no range, and lots of errors been known to "make most of the plays?" Not often.
4. Great. Especially since Scutaro had spent his whole career in one place and isn't use to switching towns... Then we should all be giving Lackey a big pat on the back too
5. But shouldn't there have been a better prelude? And if Lowrie is the conclusion, I'm not sure many people will be all that thrilled once he is playing everyday. I'm not a huge Scutaro fan, but I don't see Lowrie being an upgrade.
