And in terms of crappiness of the fan base, it goes: Pats Sox Anyone that has gone to BC Celtics Bruins I think C's and B's fans aren't overly annoying. C's can be bandwagony and B's fans were endearingly miserable for decades.

They've won 2 more than I thought they would in my lifetime. I can't complain about a down season. The past 12 months have been a little exhausting though.

Now that payroll has been slashed, there should be more than enough to let him retire a Red Sox. I think ownership sees the value in having a David Ortiz day two years from now.

Manny was a very cerebral player. He also was a generational HOF talent. AGon is good player, but he's not in Manny's stratosphere.

Great, so there should only be 5 unruly threads that anyone can post in, but will be horrible to follow. Imo, when hugely important things happen like this week, threads should be left alone for a few days, otherwise the conversations get stifled. I understand you're working hard at this, but maybe let things be a little more organic at times. I'd rather deal with a 3-4 page thread than have to get lost in a 30-40 page thread.

I've figured it out. The old farts on here just can't give a young 38 year old credit. Unless you've got grey pubes, you can't run a baseball franchise apparently. When it's bad, blame someone younger than you. When it's good, clearly someone your age made the decision.
