    I think people will post more once the WS is over and FA/trades begin to happen. In terms of fanbases, I'd go: Pats (worst) Sox C's Bruins (best)

    Not sold on Broxton, Lohse, or the return of Youk. I can't stand Swisher and think Ortiz would be better than a platoon of Ross/Haffner. I still think it'd be better to start a youth movement and lose for a couple years than pick up older stop gaps.

    Once the Sox waived the white flag with the trade, I had no issue with Ortiz sitting out and not playing hurt. Why jeopardize your health for a below .500 team?

    He was a 1.8 WAR player. Without him, they would have only won 67 games!

    Dealing Aviles is better than moving even a mediocre prospect. I'm fine with Iggy/Ciriaco hitting 9th. At least the manager has been picked and they can now work on the roster. Now get 2 SP's, move Salty, get a new catcher, sign Ross and give him a 1b mitt, and get another corner OF.

    You can't lament the loss of minor leaguer Gonzalez on one hand and in the other complain about the Sox maybe speculating on putting an untested minor leaguer in their rotation (you know, like a 2012 Miguel Gonzalez). Feel free to be bothered by the snark, but it's a valid point.

    Since you weren't around for last offseason, you might want to hold your tongue until things get really bad around here. There's nowhere to go but down for the next few months.
