  1. I've been missing out on the sex and drugs part. Please continue...
  2. Pavement is my favorite goth band. Tis true.
  3. Maybe Muggah?
  4. Uh huh. If they want to get to the playoffs, they need to replace Beckett's 2011 production, not his 2012 production.
  5. Go away.
  6. Losing Beckett and replacing him with Dempster is a big downgrade. Defensively, this is a below average team. Chemistry will help, but I just can't see this team winning 90 games. The biggest need was SP, and their staff for 2013 is worse than it has been. If Lester and Buch become top of the rotation guys again and Doubront makes steady improvement, they should be ok. I just don't think it's the most likely of scenarios.
  7. Hope springs eternal.
  8. Without knowing how Lackey will hold up, it'd be dumb to move Morales right now.
  9. They suck this year. Blow it up, Danny.
  10. Crowd is chanting "Dougie."
  11. Daniel Nava, your 4th OF ladies and germs!
  12. 2013 Red Sox... Feel the excitement! The race for third place!
  13. Dougie F'n Hamilton!
  14. Don't care. That clubhouse died last year. Time to start anew. The book doesn't bother me in the least thanks to the mudslinging the FO did after he was fired.
  15. I'll still hope for the best for him, but he has a long way to go before anyone can consider him a legitimate factor for this team.
  16. Per Rob Bradford: According to a major league source, Red Sox outfielder Ryan Kalish is likely to undergo surgery for an unspecified ailment, forcing the outfielder to miss spring training. The injury is not to Kalish’s neck, which was one of the issues he dealt with throughout the 2012 season. Kalish underwent two separate surgeries last offseason, both both a bulging disk in his neck and a torn labrum in his shoulder. He didn’t begin participate in minor league games until May 26, ultimately appearing in 36 games with the Red Sox. The possibility of surgery was first reported by Matthew Stucko of Minor League Baseball’s official Web site (via Twitter).
  17. Hurt himself playing ultimate frisbee, I guess...
  18. Maybe on the timing of the announcement, but they have been talking about bringing him back all offseason. It also gives them even more headway into the DR where he's loved...
  19. Best hitter in ST? Wrong again. He was 4th in OPS behind Cody Ross, Pedro Ciriaco and Darnell MacDonald. He went to AAA and didn't perform. How is that on the Sox.
  20. Ok. Smoak's eniter pro career - 71 hr's since 08 (47 in MLB ) Lars' entire pro career - 74 hr's since 07 (0 in MLB ) So how does Smoak have less power than Lars?
  21. Smoak had twice that number playing at Safeco half the time...
  22. I did, he hit 9 hr's last year... in AAA.
  23. Smoak has no power, but Lars does?
