  1. @M*******Sports: Seriously, if the #RedSox trade Buchholz think about all the money they'd save on Vagisil and tampons
  2. To me, Lee is just too expensive ($ and prospects) and getting up there in years. Just look at how quickly Halladay nose dived.
  3. If Dempster can beat King Felix, your mojo is truly legit.
  4. Yup, it's far easier to find a bat in FA than a legit SP.
  5. All of this. Just because the team is doing well, doesn't mean the Sox have to dump their prospects. Ride this wave and enjoy it. Lee is too old and too expensive to demand a huge price tag. The window isn't closing anytime soon.
  6. Harold is endearingly stupid. I just want to pat him on the head and give him a cookie for trying.
  7. @keithlaw: Um. “@HeardOnMLBT: "The Dodgers have more prospects than anyone in baseball." - Harold Reynolds”
  8. Norris, Lee and Peavy have all been scratched from their starts.
  9. @Ken_Rosenthal: That last tweet should read, #Phillies’ Michael Young only WILL approve trade to #Rangers. Left out a word. Again: Full no-trade clause.
  10. @pgammo: Xander Bogaerts is not being traded, period
  11. Please by nice to retards. Calling them Ken Rosenthals is hurtful and degrading.
  12. B, but only if i HAD to make a choice.
  13. Pettitte isn't a horrible human being. The response to the above statement is what makes this "black and white."
  14. Regardless, 2006-2011 Carpenter would be the ace of the 2013 Red Sox.
  15. He started game 3 and pitched 8 innings of shutout ball. He would've pitched again, but the series didn't get that far. I think you are thinking about 2004 when he was injured and didn't pitch in the WS. I think they lost that year, but don't remember.
  16. Carpenter pitched in the WS. He wasn't injured. Saying Carpenter wasn't an ace in 2011 is laughable.
  17. They won because they had a rotation featuring Carpenter and Wainright, two guys which were arguably "aces." You are making my point for me by bringing up the Cardinals. They won because of their frontline starters.
  18. If Lee was 5 years younger, you do the deal in a heartbeat. The situation isn't the same as when they brought in a YOUNG and cheap Beckett.
  19. That's fine. Not a big deal. There are some serial offenders of doing this on here. It muddies all the conversations.
  20. That's an uphill battle on here.
  21. Coming back early from an injury is definitely advantage. I just can't follow the logic here. He cheated, end of story.
  22. Did you have to write this in two separate posts? We got it the first time.
  23. The starters have done well, but they don't have the frontline guys to match up against Detroit. Boston's staff is deep, but to win in the postseason it needs to be top heavy. Without Buchholz, this team has no chance in the playoffs.
  24. Bradley, Barnes and Cecchini? Nope.
