  1. RF is much harder to play than LF at Fenway. Hard to turn a double into an inside the park hr in LF. It's easy in right. Your whole judgement rationale is poor.
  2. Nah, without his body he'd have such a small strike zone. A guaranteed BB whenever he gets up.
  3. He was initially sent to Pawtucket because of concerns over his healing wrist. When he hit 9 hr's in 24 games (ops above 1.050), they were going to make room for him no matter what. If not for his wrist, he starts the season in Boston.
  4. Hamilton was way too much money. He would have gotten villified in this town if the Sox missed the playoffs because of a dropped fly ball and he blamed his blue eyes...
  5. Current, no. Went to college with Sean Casey. Go spiders!
  6. We shall see. The over/under for him is probably 135, especially once Ortiz comes back.
  7. I can't wait to watch this guy for 120-140 games...
  8. It's not, but the Yankees fans are probably enjoying their team more than we have the past 18 months.
  9. Maybe. They have the best pitcher (of the two teams) and a better staff. They have the best positional player (of the two teams). When Tex and Grandy come back, that team will be humming and just may well leave the Sox in the dust.
  10. How many years have they missed they playoffs since 96? The joke is on us Sox fans.
  11. They were a playoff team last year, no? Better than 69 wins.
  12. I know. I was ignoring the horrible point of his.
  13. I wasn't sure that even needed to be discussed. He's not even a AAAA player.
  14. It's not "dumping" Iggy if you're sending him to Pawtucket. The only way Iggy provides "in season" competition is if he's hitting .250 when Drew comes back, or is hitting .280 at Pawtucket. Neither scenario is likely imo.
  15. Hot dogs are made up of lips and *******s just like message boards... John Candy reference for Bellhorn!
  16. Why move Ciriaco? To platoon Iggy and Drew? No... When Drew comes back, the job is his. Iggy will be hitting .175 and will be optioned to AAA. A supersub like Pedro is more valuable than having Iggy hang around. The only way Iggy should be up long term is if he's the fulltime starter.
  17. And whining about a facebook feed is completely ridiculous.
  18. I hate when people have fun with things I don't like! Waaaaaah... If you yell, you are not a good sports fan? No wonder baseball's popularity is tanking.
  19. No, 5.5 is dead middle on this scale. That means your answer is just as much of a copout. Math!
  20. My point was you can't only blame the FO. Players need to be blamed too. I NEVER said you can't blame the FO for anything. I really can't believe how dumb you are. No way were you a teacher. Your reading comprehension skills are pathetic...
  21. No, sometimes it's just the players' fault or s*** luck. I didn't think I'd have to spell it out for you numbnuts.
  22. Clay was good. Tazawa was good. The last few innings were ugly.
  23. If a prospect flames out = FO's fault If a player is injured = FO's fault OF drops a can of corn = FO's fault Player goes 0-5 = FO's fault Rainout = FO's fault
  24. Shouldn't it be a pollyanna to miserable grouch scale? I'm not sure "skeptic" is the right word.
  25. Since they have solid depth at goalie (apparently, Suban is highly sought after by other GM's), using this year to have Rask "win the job" seems like a good idea. Top 10 goaltender money seems ok by me, but I heard Rask is asking for top 5 money. I probably let him go find that money. If he can't, I'd resign him. He really needs to have success in the postseason though.
