  1. F this 3rd base coach.
  2. Yeah, getting older hurts a lot of pitchers.
  3. I see that people have come out in droves for this GT!
  4. Farrell has already stated that there will be long toss sessions, side sessions, simulated games and rehab starts. That's at least 4 weeks there. Farrell's plan has him coming back around Sept 1st. This isn't some arbitrary Buch decision. He's been out 6 weeks. The rule of thumb is you rehab 1week for each week out.
  5. His FIP is .004 and XFIP is all of .18 higher than last year. So how was he a bad luck pitcher last year, but just plain bad this year?
  6. Better to resign him for cheaper dollars now than let him get to FA and have LA jack up the price.
  7. The Yankees should really look into having a BoSox 2012 second half. Trade almost everyone for prospects and tank for better draft picks. With all the injuries, I'm sure Yankees fans wouldn't mind taking a mulligan.
  8. If Lester has a bad game tonight, I'm completely done with him. Haven't heard from the FIP defenders this year. Wonder why...
  9. Ital, that didn't take long for you to come to your senses!
  10. We'll see how great this trade works out once Cruz is suspended for the year. Definitely an overpay on a short term rental.
  11. Even with his injury history?
  12. Depends on what is being offered. The only pitchers I wouldn't move on from are Lackey (cheap money), Doubs and the young guys (Webster, RDLR, etc). I'd package Taz in a deal if it helped to bring back a quality starter.
  13. Probably at least 4-6 weeks for Buchholz. There's no chance he's back in 2 weeks since he hasn't thrown off a mound in a while.
  14. I don't see the point in ever trading a starting pitcher that is destroying his competition. I'd rather have 2.5 more years of a very good Lackey than a hit or miss prospect.
  15. Well he did have to buffer it with a "missive" about board drama, so he doesn't get full credit.
  16. Wait, so is he a candy ass, or wise for not trusting the medical staff? Can't have it both ways.
  17. Why I don't blame Buch for sitting out: no one on here has faith in the Sox medical staff, so why should he? It wasn't that long ago that the Sox told Buch to just keep pitching. Well he pitched but later found out he had a broken back. Great misdiagnosis there. Remind me again why he should have trusted the Sox in the first place especially when he was feeling pain?

  19. Uehara already is overused.
  20. Barndon Workman "the guy half the board wants to trade for spare parts" v Matt Moore Workman has a whip under 1.00 and a K/BB of 9 to 1. Rays are in town. s*** just got real.
  21. Didn't hear it yesterday when the Sox were behind. It's the chant of frontrunners and simpletons. I hate it.
  22. No, it's horrible. It was played out a decade ago.
  23. It's ok, he turned the game off innings ago.
  24. 3rd, 1st, LF... There's always a place for a dynamite bat.
