    Mason White is a throwback to a Dan Uggla type 2b. White's 1101 isn't quite as good as Uggla's 1288 in his final year at Memphis (498/790).

    I really don't like Edward Cabrera. His name gets mentioned all the time. He's 27 and always has felt relieverish to me. I don't love his bb rate (2nd highest since '23).

    2 years of Alcantara for Clarke? He'll maybe give you 6 fWAR over the 2 years and the contract is worth 5 fWAR. BTV has him at 15M? Seems a little higher than I'd expect. IDK. Um, whenever I've seen a Marlins game this season, it hasn't been pretty. I'd personally pass on Alcantara, but if Breslow believes he can turn it around and thinks Clarke is worth the risk to send to MIA, I'd trust him.

    Yophery isn't going to net anything substantial unless packaged with something good. That one was a swing and a miss by Bres if they were offered other assets.

    There's no confusion on my part except for the mental gymnastics you are doing on the last paragraph. It's interesting that you say things like "fabricated data" because it shows a complete lack of understanding of what the advanced stats are, the process to how they are created and why many smart baseball fans like them. The only real fact is that you are struggling to get along with people here. Work on your approach and maybe things will get better for you.

    It depends on what the Marlins are looking for. If the Sox weren't trying to get the to playoffs, I'd give a struggling Alcantara the 5th spot in the rotation. Right now, he's about the same as Buehler and it's just rearranging deckchairs if you move Buehler to the pen.

    They said on last night's podcast that Witherspoon would probably rank 6th (in the Arias/Garcia/Perales tier) with the Phillips and Eyanson around 12-15. Godbout would be closer to 30.

    Fitts '25 4 G, 17 IP, 2.70 ERA, 1.15 WHIP 1 G that should have been rehabbd in POR/WOO 3 G, 12.2 IP, 3.55 ERA, 1.19 WHIP Seems like he's bee pretty good except for one start even though he's dealt with an injury?

    Hasn't lived up to expectations? What? Expectations for Fitts was a 4-5 starter at his peak. Coming into the season, he was fighting for the 5th spot. Seems to be that's what he is.

    Last year was very pitching heavy. So far this year, it's been pitching heavy. For a system that is graduating most of its high profile bats, it will need to pick up a few more bats this draft. I'd like to see a few catchers drafted as well. This org is very light in catching.

    It's not that he hates 4 seamers, it's that he hates BAD 4 seamers. If a pitcher has a good 4 seamer, he can throw it. The more interesting part about Witherspoon is that he's a bit smaller than the guys Breslow has targeted, but was probably taken because he was the best available. Phillips is a big body guy that if developed well can stay as a starter. Not a lot of innings on his arm, but really needs some work and is a high variance arm. Some project as a reliever. Anthony Eyanson, the other college RHP, should stick at starter due to build and has multiple above average pitches. Most likely is a well above slot signing. The 2b/ss, Henry Godbout, is a contact first guy with very little power. Probably very similar to a Nick Yorke profile when you factor in the defensive issues as well.
