  1. In theory, it's fine. In practice, you have to develop these guys and actually fit them into the org. They will have pitchers pitching at the wrong level and run out of spots for them to play, unless they will start flipping them. They also need to actively acquire MiLB offensive talent via trades/FA.
  2. I guess you just aren't a Ricky Gutierrez guy?
  3. The Red Sox are planning on doing both. Win now. Win later. What's the point in having a farm system if not to develop guys then? The Dodgers are always bringing up guys. The Sox should too.
  4. Maybe I'm crying wolf, but I'm not the only one (just the only one on here). C - none of those guys have a future as MLB C 1b - Jordan should be given a shot in BOS, but won't be. No idea on Tibbs. Justin Gonzales has played 0 Innings at 1b this year. He's OF only going forward apparently. 2b - Romero is maybe a future UTIL guy, but has an extensive injury history and is most likely going to be traded SS - Arias is a decent prospect and I've said as much. Soto is just too far away to know. 3b - a list of guys just to list guys LF - Ehrhard is interesting, but maybe a bench piece at best. If Riemer is LF going forward, he's toast. CF - Garcia is another very good prospect. Worried he'll be dealt. Sox see him as a platoon guy. Azocar has some buzz, the others don't and are very far away. As we saw with Yuten, these guys can drop off fast RF - Of the three guys listed, the guy with the highest likelihood of getting to MLB is Taylor. He's a strong defender and should get up for a cup of coffee. Bleis is a five tool prospect, but never shows well when I watch him in games. The only guys to get excited over are Arias and Jhostynxon. There are some other fair prospects. Some guys to watch and a lot of filler, including guys you mentioned (Zanetello).
  5. Tell that to the Dodgers who run out of starting pitchers every playoffs.
  6. It's just swung too far in the other direction IMO. After Jhostynxon and Arias, there really isn't anything to brag about on the offensive side of things on the farm. It's very, very light. You can tell by looking at how SP projects their '26 rosters. SAL will have 9 college graduated pitchers, the majority of whom should probably be in GRE to start the season. The SAL offense is probably going to be putrid if the reports out of the FCL and DSL are correct.
  7. SP guys think a lot of cuts from FCL.
  8. Not going to get hot and bothered over DSL and FCL numbers. Need to see these guys in SAL. We saw what happened with Cespedes and Bleis early on.
  9. The only problem I have with a Anthony for Skenes trade is that this org seems to be completely punting on ever developing a bat ever again. Otherwise I'd do it.
  10. I didn't. 🧐
  11. It was ok. Maybe not have a new thread for every pick? IDK. It seems like only certain forums on here get a lot of traction, so maybe having one live thread that gets updated on the main forum and moved to the signings forum after the draft ends could work? Could be harder when you are trying to update socials though? I'm not sure the majority of fans are tracking each pick as they come in, but would prefer some sort of after draft summary. Really, the MLB draft isn't a huge event the way the NFL draft is. It's getting bigger each year, but these are mostly guys that typical fans won't see or care about for a few years. What are your thoughts for trade deadline? Opportunity to do something similar? Seems like there is a lot more excitement surrounding that day.
  12. At that point, Cora had already spoken to the team and told the team it was best to just move on. Kennedy and Breslow were there a day or two later. Again "sounds like they were over him" is really reading between the lines here. It's definitely throwing an anti-Devers spin in there when there isn't necessarily one.
  13. Emphasis on WERE in the case of Toro. 528 OPS since 6/13. Big part of the reason Breslow is looking into acquiring a 1b.
  14. Yes, but there is still a limit to the amount of guys they can have in the system. Reserve List is currently at 152 of 165. They need to probably release at least 5 more guys (prob non-Breslow pitchers like Rogers, Bolden, Bryant). The last day of the FCL regular season is 7/24. Guys from there will either be either moved to Salem or just scrimmage for the remainder of the year.
  15. "We have no idea what the players feel!" "Devers was a great teammate and we got along well. We just have to move on now that he's gone." "Well, if you read between the lines..."
  16. I think I heard the team record is 15.
  17. It's a team that is clicking in all facets. We haven't seen this since '21. Pitching and hitting both going well at the same time? Not typical for this org in recent years. We've seen a lot of BAD baseball. It's nice and fun to have GOOD baseball.
  18. They said they are under the assumption that Anthony graduates prior to AUG. I believe only Witherspoon will crack the top 10 from what they've said. We're not going to see these guys or get a lot of reports until spring, so they may be more conservative with Phillips and Eyanson.
