  1. As long as they do their best to keep him a Red Sox for his entire career, I'll be happy. Don't try to Lester him is all I'm saying...
  2. Definitely a better hire than if they put Tek in that position.
  3. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017-mlb-free-agent-tracker/positions-rp Unless Holland is cheap, I don't see the Sox grabbing another former closer. At best, they'll probably bring back Koji and pick up a guy like Joe Smith.
  4. I think Taz is done. He was overused for a long while and his arm seems completely shot. As Dojji said, I think Koji can still be used in a limited role. I just don't have the same confidence in Taz.
  5. I think not bringing Koji back is a mistake. I'd rather have too many arms in the pen than not enough.
  6. Not a chance.
  7. Should be a fun summer in Pawtucket!
  8. Tek was a terrible captain who let the clubhouse turn into an absolute disaster in 2011 and spent more time chasing reporter tail than keeping his fellow players in line.
  9. DD: Swihart back to being a full time C in 2017. No more OF.
  10. All squirrels are blind at birth.
  11. How much would it be to sign Greg Holland?
  12. Guess I'm an old guy now... Ouch.
  13. I still buy a few packs each year. I enjoy the Heritage sets.
  14. Really. Everyone knows that the blind squirrel would have all of its other senses heightened.
  15. Holy sheeet....
  16. Yeah, he should never be moved off 1b again except to DH.
  17. Whatever helps him sleep at night, I guess?
  18. And there's no way to determine if this is the version that sticks around. His player stock has been a roller coaster and he's at a peak now. I don't believe anyone on here foresaw him turning into this beast.
  19. If Maddon wasn't the manager, the Cubbies wouldn't bother me. He's a tool.
  20. That would have been a Building 19 3/4's option. No thanks...
  21. Poof = injuries
  22. Yup, they were happy to throw him in the pen with a similar salary this past year. I don't think the option guarantees him a rotation spot.
  23. Is that a knock on Josh Beckett? The guy who shut down the Yanks in 2003, won a WS in 2007 and was fantastic in 2008?
  24. IF Theo wanted to stay, he would have figured it out.
