  1. The equation was: Clubhouse Chemistry + Cancer + WS Ring - Last Place Finishes - Dalliance with Reporter = 1 more year This offseason it could be: Clubhouse Chemistry + Cancer + WS Ring - Last Place Finishes - Dalliance with Reporter - No Playoffs when going All In = Unemployment Line
  2. Really? I've heard he's amazing at the off field stuff and that it's the only reason he even has a job.
  3. I think with Moncada, the worry was that they wanted to make his transition as comfortable as possible. Leaving him at his normal position was done to not already pile on the huge adjustments he was making (culture, language, finances, etc.). I think they wanted to get him to succeed at each level before they threw a wrench in there.
  4. In the past, he has openly complained about hitting leadoff. I heard that Farrell sat Pedey, Xander and Mookie down to explain why he wanted to shift the guys around and to get them all to buy in. It seems to have worked.
  5. I wouldn't trade any more prospects for relievers. You can make a case that you'd do it for your closer, but not sure you'd do it for a set up guy. Should be able to fill in bullpen with FA and minor league guys. I think Hembree should have a much bigger part next year.
  6. Please, don't use coded language like that. Words matter.
  7. I'm ashamed that you have not created a Wins Above Ellsbury stat.
  8. http://www.mbta.com/schedules_and_maps/subway/lines/stations/?stopId=15598 Yup, Riverside is probably your best bet.
  9. Where will you be staying?
  10. You sonnavubitch... *stares back, spits mouthful of chew on the ground
  11. Is Ian Kinsler HOF worthy? If not, neither is Pedroia. http://www.baseball-reference.com/leaders/jaws_2B.shtml Chase Utley? Idk. He's probably the borderline for me. If Pedroia can get his career numbers above Utley's, I think he has a good chance of getting in.
  12. If your problem is solely with word choice, I don't know what to tell you.
  13. Opposing views are not allowed of forums. They must be shouted down with condescension.
  14. Sorry bub, but your team won so you are not allowed to criticize the manager.
  15. Rabble rabble rabble!!!
  16. He needs to play a few more years at a high level before he's a good candidate according to JAWS. 2500 hits? Nah...
  17. @tonymassaroti FWIW, Red Sox now 8-1 against Atl, Oak and Ariz. Have outscored them 95-37. That's +58. Total run diff is +103.
  18. He was just out for a month and a half.
  19. April? Maybe he's still hurt?
  20. Run differential is weird way to suggest the Sox are better than they are. Just look at the game yesterday. The record is skewed by blowouts. Yes, this team blows out bad pitching sometimes. Great. Woot. That in and of itself doesn't mean they should be in 1st place.
  21. Porcello sux. He'll never have an ERA below 4.
  22. Me? How so? I was just showing everyone what the media was saying about it on Twitter.
  23. I still have a Ziegler priapism.
  24. Fameasser!!!!!!!!
