  1. David Price is going to start 33 games? After missing April and most of May (at the very least), he'll come nowhere near 30 games.
  2. Have you said that before?
  3. He's big boned.
  4. I'm including 5 days for paternity leave.
  5. We shall see. Not sure why you'd stake your reputation on a guy like Pom though.
  6. My guess: Porcello Sale Rodriguez Wright Kendrick Pom goes on 15 DL, Price is put on 60 DL. Johnson or Elias will be first call up. Owens will not be on roster at all this year. He's traded in the offseason for a garbage UTIL.
  7. Nah, I don't want to come across as negative. I'm sure he's fine and is really ready to go! He's going to make me eat crow for sure!
  8. If he's swinging well in Japan this year, they should bring him in for the stretch run. Hell, if Hanley gets hurt, they should bring him in just for the shirsey sales alone.
  9. So, anything less than a WS ring and Sale is branded as a cancer that ruined this team. You know, the same team that was in last damn place 3 of 4 years and lost in the first round of the playoffs last year. Ok? That's a lot to put on him though.
  10. @PeteAbe Kyle Kendrick is pitching today and again Tuesday. He would be available for that April 9 game in Detroit if Drew Pomeranz is not.
  11. Is he on old guy twitter?
  12. If JH trots out some ridiculous throwback unis in the playoffs, I hope Sale brings his scissors.
  13. Thunder, EVEN THE WORST LINEUP A MANAGER COULD MAKE WOULD ONLY ACCOUNT FOR 10 RUNS OVER THE COURSE OF THE SEASON... Or something like that.
  14. https://www.si.com/mlb/2017/03/29/season-preview-world-series-playoffs-expert-picks-predictions?xid=socialflow_twitter_si Of 8 SI writers: 8 have Sox in playoffs 7 have Sox winning division 4 have Sox in WS 0 have Sox winning WS
  15. @TimBritton The flu has claimed Chili Davis and Steve Selsky.
  16. @alexspeier Farrell said Sox will wait until Monday before deciding who replaces Pomeranz on the roster. Likely a reliever if Pomeranz looks OK for 4/9 @TimBritton Farrell on Pomeranz: “It’s become more and more clear he’s not ready to begin the season.”
  17. Be careful what you say about accountants on here. We are legion.

You just are too young to remember when it was essential programming. Now, it's just the top of the garbage pile.
  19. I like this lineup too. However, I think the lineup should be: Sandoval Betts Benintendi Pedroia Hanley JBJ Bogey Holt Vaz
  20. Look who's batting 5th in today's line up: @PeteAbe Pedroia 2B, Benintendi LF, Betts RF, Ramirez DH, Sandoval 3B, Bogaerts SS, Bradley Jr. CF, Vazquez C, Holt 1B, Kendrick RHP
  21. http://www.overthemonster.com/2017/3/30/15117078/2017-red-sox-position-preview-starting-pitchers I thought this was a pretty fair look at the Sox starting rotation. On Pom: He broke out early last year with the Padres and had the addition of his cutter and an improved curveball to back it up. Then, he was traded to Boston and it all went downhill. The lefty was hurt all winter, got off to a slow start this spring and hasn’t looked good since. The talent is still there, but it’s anyone guess if it’ll come out this year. On Price: After last year’s disappointing-but-not-really-bad season, this was supposed to be the bounce-back for last winter’s biggest acquisition. Then, disaster struck when he started feeling forearm pain. He got relatively good news from Dr. James Andrews when he learned he wouldn’t have to undergo Tommy John surgery, but we quickly learned just how much he wasn’t out of the woods. He’s yet to really ramp things back up and is expected to be out until at least May. If he’s healthy, there’s every reason to believe he can be the second best pitcher on this staff, but whether or not he’ll be healthy is arguably the biggest question facing this team right now.
  22. Holt is fine. He had a career low BABIP last year. Just keep him away from 3b because he's terrible there.

ESPN is s***. It hasn't been good in 20 years.
  24. I the only thing I don't doubt is that The Greatest Clutch Hitter in the History of the Boston Red Sox, David Ortiz, #34.
  25. Who are you to doubt John Henry?
