  1. He was stable, but overrated.
  2. He was good, but still overrated.
  3. That C on the jersey didn't translate well into the clubhouse when he was too busy fussing over who was banging his side chick. Overrated.
  4. When someone writes: "In RF- Mookie Betts proved he wasn't ready to be the man in the lineup, but he is still a great player. His defense grades out better than Bradley's eerily enough. He also has put up 18.1 WAR in his 3 seasons in the bigs. That is awesome. He has also played 145 games or more in all 3 seasons. Anyone considering moving him is an idiot." You can dismiss the rest of the post. Dude is a perennial MVP.
  5. Uh, wut? I don't think he boxed himself in at all. Finding a replacement DH is even easier than finding a 1b that can field the position.
  6. I believe Theo would have learned from his mistake and not signed Hanley or Pablo.
  7. No doubt. Effffffffffffffffffffff Larry.
  8. Both promoted to the bigs by Delusional Dave. I'm still taking my Devers victory lap from last year after everyone told me he wouldn't impact the big league roster. BRB.
  9. People are saying it isn't a big deal. We'll see.
  10. Theo signed the star, not Ben tho?
  11. Mookie is def a star. Benny and Devers will be soon.
  12. It's a very arbitrary thing to exclude "guys who don't really play" if it discounts them being injured for a year or in a rookie season in 16 or 17. The fact of the matter is that when you reduce it to 30 CF's for 2017, he ranks 24th in OPS.
  13. I was told over and over again that he was not streaky by moon. Not sure you'll get far in that conversation.
  14. LOL NOPE. That 2013 team was largely made up of Theo signings and draftees. Not even close to 50%
  15. Nelson Cruz is pretty good. If he were a FA, he'd be a cheaper option.
  16. I think SCM is on the trade Pedroia bandwagon.
  17. Fowler, Taylor and Conforto's non-qualified seasons too.
  18. TFW you change the qualifications and Aaron Hicks and Kevin Keirmaier's partial seasons have higher WAR than JBJ... https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=cf&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=200&type=8&season=2017&month=0&season1=2017&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0 Top 10 defender, sure. Top 30 offensive player, maybe. JBJ is overrated for sure. However, I think he still has value as a starting CF somewhere. Sox should probably just keep him and re-sign him when he becomes a FA. His next contract won't break the bank.
  19. Theo's foundation?
  20. Well, he's not passing that physical. Sox won't let him. You are right, GM's won't just look at 2017 HanRam, they'll also look at his injury riddled career and 2015 when he sucked too.
  21. The Giants want him. DD said the report was false because if he's shopping JBJ then JD Martinez believes he has more power in negotiations.
  22. He was a negative WAR player last year who has suffered through shoulder injuries for the past 3 years. He has NO value. Chris Iannetta didn't even sign for $6M. Why would Hanley in a season with a ton of FA 1b inventory? Mitch Moreland only signed for $6.5AAV and you would give Hanley $8M? That's just crazy.
  23. Ball is life.
  24. You think this is all efffffin' jokes around here?
  25. The cost of signing an ace caliber pitcher on the open market when your team (a) efffff's up and trades away their ace after lowballing him and (2) can't develop or draft starting pitching adequately.
