    He only has 44 AB's 1 - 4. Can't draw much of a conclusion from that. Going strictly on the stats, 6th in the order has been his preferred location. No reason to avoid having him 2nd if he's hot.

    I think a 3 man booth with Eck and Remy would be perfect. Those games were fantastic.

    I think DD gets a bad rap and that he won't let a true cliff happen. He'll sign at least 2 of Betts/JBJ/Xander and will replace the other with in house or cheaper talent. He has a great scouting department that he needs to continue to lean on. If DD can figure out how to develop some SPers, he'll be a legend here.

    Well, Greinke pitched like 2017 Porcello last year. I'm sure people would have been bitching about that move too. Price was twice the pitcher Greinke was last year. Has Jordan Zimmerman been worth his contract? Cueto was great last year, but he's been awful this year and had major injury concerns during that offseason. You would have rather Mike Leake, Wei Yin Chan, Marco Estrada, Jeff Samardjsdfdnzia or Kazmir?

    If CV can hit .250, that's more valuable than Swihart hitting .300 considering the vast difference in their defensive capabilities.

    If we optimized the Sox batting order by OBP, it would look like: Pedroia Devers Betts Beni Nunez Vaz Xander JBJ Moreland/Hanley How does that lineup look to you? It even alternates RLR for the top of the lineup.

    Lin needs to be given more of a chance than Holt right now, IMO.

    I don't think he gets hurt more easily than other players. I think his style of play and aging body will add up to more DL stints for the rest of his career.

    When I was living in CA, I would overhear a lot of baseball fans talk about how great Ortiz and Manny were back to back. One of my clients was going on and on about how they were a modern day Ruth and Gehrig without knowing I was a Sox fan. I'm not sure when we'll ever see another duo like that.
