I meant "nondescript" more as solid veterans. The names don't wow you, but they get the job done. Their numbers are basically league average last year and this year.
They're in 2nd place now. They have a pretty decent lineup and lots of big bats coming through their system (Hernandez, Gurriel, Bichette, Guerrero). Their pitching is pretty nondescript, but their hitting is decent enough. 4th in runs.
The problem is that FA pitchers are a premium and both would get PAID. If Archer were a FA last offseason, he would be cashing sizable checks this year. Cashner is a bit of a different story because his numbers are boosted by pitching at Petco 50% of the time.
It's the best place to take in a ballgame in the Bay Area.
You can walk up to the ticket booth on gameday and get a really good seat and not have to shell out much money. The concessions are decent and the hometown fans are easy to ignore. I always loved going to that ballpark when the Sox were in town. The park is a shithole, but sometimes shitholes can be enjoyable. It's the dive bar of all MLB stadiums. Back in the day (pre 9/11), you used to be able to bring in a cooler full of booze too.
Wow. Some traditions have it that if you don't take down the decorations by the 12th day after Christmas, that you have to leave them up all year. I think my neighbor inadvertently did that with his lawn decorations a few years ago.

There has never been a month in baseball history with more strikeouts than hits. With eight days left in March/April 2018:
Strikeouts: 5562
Hits: 5174
What a crazy world we live in now.
I don't remember anyone caring about that on TS in a long time. I also no longer keep a notebook scouting each poster's opinion so that I can ask them gotcha questions later on.
I rarely watch a full game unless it's on a weekend when I am free. I usually have most of the midweek games on once my day is over and I have free time. Excluding the playoffs, I'd say I probably watch about 10 full games a year and some portion of 80 - 100 games otherwise. I almost never watch on delay. I'll just check in when it's live.
If I didn't have kids to put to bed or a slowing metabolism, I'd be watching a lot more Sox than I do now.
And at some point, you have to give Price the opportunity to get through a tough situation. Maybe next time Cora will go for the hook? Until we see a pattern of mismanagement, it's hard to get on Cora too much.
