  1. Holt is fine. Nunez needs to sit more than Devers.
  2. Pedey hopes for AAA rehab starts early next week.
  3. Ewwwwww. That’s not much watch tv.
  4. I have to say, I'm disappointed in Smith this year. I hope he turns it around.
  5. "A year like this." A year where they are first in their division?
  6. The scourge of carpal tunnel.
  7. Long term, Devers is 8 years younger than Moustakas. I think Devers is the right call.
  8. Devers gets high marks because he has legit range and a solid glove. His issue is throwing, which can be fixed.
  9. Do some ergonomics research. I used to have a lot of wrist pain from being an auditor and endless spreadsheets. I ended up having to adjust the height of my seat, change the keyboard wrist support and move the mousepad. Mention your pain to HR. It sounds dumb, but it can help you in a number of ways: that can get you fast tracked for new equipment, it will provide backup if you ever need to call out due to pain and maybe they'd be willing to find an ergonomics class to provide to everyone.
  10. I just think Beeks is a better pitcher than Walden or Poyner. I like Poyner, but Walden. Walden doesn't do anything for me.
  11. So Baseball Ref still has Devers as being better? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  12. All time Sox names per jersey number: 1 Ty Laforest 2 Faye Thorneberry 3 Pokey Reese 4 Rabbitt Warstler 5 Matt Batts 6 Boze Berger 7 Urbane Pickering 8 Birdie Tebbetts 9 Smead Jolley 10 Pinky Woods 11 Kim Andrew 12 Stan Papi 13 Billy Jo Robidoux 14 Johnny Lazor 15 Sparky Lyle 16 Howie Storie 17 Dick Radatz 18 Milt Bolling 19 Merlin Nippert 20 Harry Dorish 21 Fritz Ostermueller 22 Wily Mo Pena 23 Johnny Peacock 24 Bill Butland 25 Dizzy Trout 26 Skeeter Newsome 27 Kip Gross 28 Rip Repulski 29 Herb Hash 30 Boof Bonser 31 Hoot Evers 32 Ken Wood 33 Mace Brown 34 Al Papai 35 Hipolito Pichardo 36 Billy Muffett 37 Guido Grilli 38 Ed McGah 39 Creighton Gubanich 40 Carlton Fisk 41 Dick Drago 42 John Trautwein 43 Devern Hansack 44 Butch Huskey 45 Dick Pole 46 Gar Finnvold 47 Bobby Sprowl 48 Vic Corelli 49 Win Remmerswaal 50 Benny Agbayani 51 Josias Manzanillo 52 Vaughn Eschelman 53 Tim Van Egmond 54 Pedro Beato 55 Bob Veale 56 Tim Harikkala 57 Rudy Pemberton 58 Fernando Abad 59 Abe Alvarez 60 Scott Schoeneweis 61 Jin Ho Cho 62 Sun-Woo Kim 63 William Cuevas 64 Dustin Pedroia 65 Ino Guerrero 66 Joe Cascarella 67 Anastacio Martinez 68 Dusty Brown 70 Garin Cecchini 71 Nate Spears 72 Xander Bogaerts 73 Bryce Brentz 76 Hector Velazquez 77 Pedro Ciriaco 78 Justin Thomas 81 Lou Lucier 82 Tom Goodwin 83 Eric Gagne 84 J.T. Snow 85 Che-Hsuan Lin 86 Brian Abraham 88 Alex "Mani" Martinez 91 Alfredo Aceves 94 Dalier Hinojosa
  13. Only if Jerry or Eck are in the booth.
  14. Moose: -1.2 dWAR Devers: 2.2 dWAR ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  15. Also, Beeks is a high k/low bb guy who throws a lot of pitches. I'm not sure he'd go 6 innings consistently in MLB. Maybe relief is the best option for him? IDK.
  16. @bnicholsonsmith #BlueJays place Marcus Stroman on the DL with right shoulder fatigue, retroactive to May 9 per team
  17. I envision him as a starter. I've heard that the Sox FO does not tho. Even so, it wouldn't be the first starter to go to long relief and become a starter later on.
  18. Rest, stretching, stop repetitive tasks, elevate your hands, wear splints, aspirin/ibuprofin and if all else fails time for surgery. We've lost a many good poster at TS due to carpal tunnel. RIP GoBruins2010, Dutchy, soxfanforsyth and redsoxrules.
  19. DFA Hembree. Call up Beeks. http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?player_id=656222#/gamelogs/R/pitching/2018/MINORS
  20. Let's beat up on the Jays and then run the table after. Next week, the Sox start a stretch where they play 13 out of 16 at home.
  21. @SoxNotes Mookie Betts leads MLB in HR (13), AVG (.361), runs (38) & OPS (1.244). He’s batting .300+ with a 1.000+ OPS vs. RHP (.353/1.181), vs. LHP (.378/1.388), at home (.439/1.471), on the road (.321/1.126), with RISP (.389/1.369), with 2 outs (.480/1.519) & with 2 strikes (.328/1.111).
  22. That's lower than his career OPS which shows that he's a CHOKER.
