  1. I'm a professional copy and paster.
  2. That is a terrible poem
  3. I don't want to hear from Seattle Beat Reporters or Maine DJ's. Too much #fakenews from them.
  4. We can answer your question with sources over and over, but it seems like you just have everyone on ignore?
  5. Your understanding is correct from everything I've read.
  6. Cora didn't kick him in the nuts at all. It's not like he said "well he was one of the 5 worst full time players in the majors in May so we had to let him go."
  7. I don't think so either.
  8. Would probably just stick with Doug... Who gave Foulke a big hug But he ended up keeping the ball When the Sox won it all And now fans just think of him and shrug
  9. If he grieves it, I'd expect it to be a big enough deal where owners try to reduce the amount of vesting options going forward.
  10. Pitch Repertoire At-A-Glance Drew Pomeranz has thrown 11,824 pitches that have been tracked by the PITCHf/x system between 2011 and 2018, including pitches thrown in the MLB Regular Season, the MLB Postseason and Spring Training. In 2018, he has relied primarily on his Fourseam Fastball (90mph) and Curve using a Knuckle Curve grip (78mph), also mixing in a Sinker (89mph) and Cutter (86mph). He also rarely throws a Change (82mph). BETA Feature: Basic description of 2018 pitches compared to other LHP: His fourseam fastball generates a high number of swings & misses compared to other pitchers' fourseamers, has less armside movement than typical, results in more flyballs compared to other pitchers' fourseamers, has slightly below average velo and has some added backspin. His curve has an exceptional bite, is basically never swung at and missed compared to other pitchers' curves and results in many more groundballs compared to other pitchers' curves. His sinker (take this with a grain of salt because he's only thrown 15 of them in 2018) generates a high number of swings & misses compared to other pitchers' sinkers, is an extreme flyball pitch compared to other pitchers' sinkers, has less armside run than typical, has little sinking action compared to a true sinker and has slightly below average velo. His cutter (take this with a grain of salt because he's only thrown 15 of them in 2018) is basically never swung at and missed compared to other pitchers' cutters, is an extreme flyball pitch compared to other pitchers' cutters and has good "rise". His change (take this with a grain of salt because he's only thrown 9 of them in 2018) is basically never swung at and missed compared to other pitchers' changeups and has a lot of backspin.
  11. 80% of Pom's pitches are either 4 seam FB or his curve. However, he does also through a cutter and a sinker from time to time (about 10% each).
  12. There once was a player named Swihart With utility, speed and smarts Some thought he a savior Who couldn't pass through waivers But his offense was just a fart
  13. “I think his role was going to diminish,” Cora said of Ramirez. “For how good of a player he is, it was going to be difficult. It was probably going to be a platoon, maybe come in and pinch hit late in games, and that’s not a perfect role for Hanley Ramirez. He’s a guy who he needs his at-bats, and obviously with the versatility that we have with the other players — with Brock [Holt], with [Eduardo] Nunez, and with Blake [swihart] — as far as managing the game, it’s a lot easier with those guys.”
  14. “We were prepared to maybe go in a different direction with our move,” Dombrowski said. “[Cora] called me, I remember it was about 11:30 in the morning, I was getting ready to go for a run, and Alex said, ‘I’ve got a thought for you about what we’re doing.’ And he said, ‘This is a move that I would like to make, I recommend making.’ Ultimately it comes into my final decision, but he said, ‘I really want to play Mitch Moreland more. He’s a good player, he’s played very well for us. I don’t think that Hanley is a person that [handles sitting] on the bench well. It gives us an opportunity to keep Blake Swihart and also be in a position where Blake can get more playing time.’ And so he said, ‘This is something that I’d recommend us doing.’ And I said, ‘You’re sure?’ And he said yeah and he went through some different reasons behind it and his thought process. And what I asked him to do at that point was to make sure that he went to the ballpark to meet with his coaching staff and be in a position where that was what he really wanted to do. I got to the ballpark yesterday, Frank Wren and I drove over, and he said this is what we’d like to do. So we proceeded in that direction.”
  15. He said that Hanley wasn't a guy who handles sitting on the bench very well. I don't know if that's just demeanor, clubhouse, performance or what.
  16. Yeah, they are treating him like a rule 5 guy, just trying to stash him on the roster.
  17. Hell f***ing no.
  18. And my friend swears he once saw a pterodactyl in the Bridgewater Triangle. I believe both of you though.
  19. Blake does lead the team in an offensive category: K%. Blake also has the lowest ISO and SLG when excluding pitchers and Pedey.
  20. Holt is fine at 2b and SS.
  21. Because the team is going so well that people have to nitpick about DFA'ing a s***** player, complaining about light hitting catchers and ranting that David Eckstein did play 3b at Pawtucket even though there is no evidence that he did.
  22. Whereas Blake Swihart is hitting my weight after a weekend of only eating pizza and ice cream.
  23. Def a top 10 CF defender.
