  1. Once you get those CPA pheromones on you, the women won’t be able to stay away!
  2. Then maybe he's changing his mix with 2 seamers and 4 seamers? 2 and 4 seamers should definitely be tracked differently as they are really different pitches.
  3. I can't worry about losing guys like Quiroz. More often than not, they are easily replaceable. I had high hopes for him, but I still have higher hopes for Marco Hernandez who is finally healthy and playing ball again.
  4. I was looking at Fangraphs. They have his FB speed from 2016 as 95.1 and this year at 94.2. https://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=10688&position=P If he was still pitching well with the velo drop, it wouldn't be an issue. The bigger issue is that he's a guy with not a huge track record of success. He had 2 good years in MIL, that's it.
  5. If they are going to treat Thornburg like a rule V guy and just bury him in the pen with little chance of seeing action except in blowouts, I'm fine with it.
  6. Some people weren't hugged as a child and are just dying for attention. The fact that he has threatened to out people on this board but never has, tells me that it's just some dipshit loser looking for attention because women won't pay him any attention because of poor hygiene and a terrible personality.
  7. His best season was 2016. His velo is still down overall from then. He might have better stuff than last year, but it's not near what it once was.
  8. Thornburg has had just 2 clean appearances all year. Just because he used to have more talent than other guys doesn't mean it's still there. Call up Mejia.
  9. I like a good pen. I say yes.
  10. If that's just a constant turnover of bullpen arms, so be it.
  11. You don't like his 237 OPS for AZ? What about that ZIPS projected him to hit 594 as a bat first catcher? Even AZ fans aren't high on Swihart. https://www.azsnakepit.com/2019/4/23/18509990/mike-hazen-and-team-expect-blake-swihart-to-hit-diamondbacks-red-sox While Swihart clearly had some promise as a hitter for a catcher I think it’s important to look at his track record in the context of a non catcher position player, because that is his intended use here in Arizona. While his contact rates and K% in the low minors were above average, he never had a double digit walk rate, and most years was below average in taking the base on balls. He did not exhibit much power at all, except the one year in AA, and even that was moderate... There are plenty of anecdotal examples of players that were progressing through the early stages of their careers, got derailed by injury and circumstance, and after some time of poor or mediocre performance, managed to get back on track and surprise everyone. Mike Hazen and his team believe Blake Swihart has a good chance to be one of those guys. Obviously I think it’s a long shot. LEON IS BETTAH KEHD...
  12. Benintendi LF, Betts RF, Martinez DH, Bogaerts SS, Devers 3B, Chavis 2B, Moreland 1B, Vazquez C, Bradley CF
  13. Grey because the characters were vaguely British.
  14. While you will be the one officially putting the name to paper in the hospital, I think your wife will most likely be calling the shots surrounding the name. My wife had a boy and girl name picked out long before we were ready for kids.
  15. Chavis is worse than Devers at 3b.
  16. I think that's his ceiling too.
  17. So much for the high hopes you guys had for him.
  18. Lion King? That sounds fun.
  19. I gained weight with the first (15 lbs or so). Have been rollercoastering with it ever since.
  20. My son's middle name is James after my boyhood hero and user name reference.
  21. OMG dude. Invoking the name of Walter Johnson in the year of our lord 2019.
  22. I think he's just not a fan of the contract.
  23. 7 years later, I can still smell and feel the warmth of my infant son puking all over my arms. Cherish the memories. My daughter was too much of a lady for that. She’d just wake me up at 2am so that we could go downstairs and watch NJPW until she was rocked to sleep.
