  1. Los Doyers were cool when Vin Scully was around. Best voice in the game.
  2. My son is at the age where he now tries to sneak downstairs after bedtime to watch the Sox.
  3. Ortiz to be the banner man on Wednesday night?
  4. Stay classy NY Post! Ortiz, who is recovering from surgery — in which parts of his intestines and colon, as well as his gallbladder, were removed — is married to Tiffany Ortiz and has three children.
  5. Also, it's "Rougned." He's not very good anymore, but you gotta love how hard he punched Bautista.
  6. @jcmccaffrey Bobby Poyner is in the Red Sox clubhouse so perhaps some roster moves coming today
  7. If you look at his career MiLB numbers, there hasn't been much of a change at all. 30.7 k rate in MiLB, 32.8 in MLB. They knew who he was.
  8. The only people who should care what Cora says in a press conference are the beat reporters.
  9. No panic button this year. Deal off an asset if you can get back some really good prospects, but I think they'll be able to compete in 2020.
  10. I'm not trying to bash DR either. It's a beautiful country and I had a great time when I was there. Right now, for many reasons, it's just not a real safe place to be.
  11. You're only looking at gun violence. If you look at all homicide rates, you are almost 3x more likely to be murdered in the DR than the US. US gun death is propped up by a high suicide rate (nearly twice as many suicides by gun than homicides).
  12. True, but it's much safer here than in DR. UN? has told me this over and over and he has first hand experience since he actually lives down there.
  13. Gorkys, Brentz and Sturgeon had taters for the PAWSOX, with Brian Johnson pitching well and Steven Wright making his first appearance. Duran had a double after going through an 0-14 streak (606 OPS in AA so far and I won't get into the OPS talk above). Corino and Marcus Johnson had taters for Salem. Wren and Granberg had taters for Greenville. Devlin Granberg has been one of the most consistent performers in the system this year. He delivered his fifth homer of the season to lead the Drive to victory while raising his on-base percentage to .398, good for second in the organization. He leads Greenville in several offensive categories, including batting average, hits, walks, and, perhaps most improbably, triples. Granberg was a sixth-round pick in the 2018 draft as a Senior at Dallas Baptist University.
  14. As UN? has told me over and over again, DR is a real s***** place to live. Must be tough for Ortiz to stay away from his home/friends/family, but I'm not sure it's worth the risk of being there.
  15. Betts CF, Benintendi LF, Devers 3B, Bogaerts SS, Moreland 1B, Núñez DH, Holt 2B, Bradley Jr. CF, León C
  16. Not everyone can have a great career the way Jeff Clement did!

  18. Easy now. Ryan Labarnway was "the Real Deal".
  19. I saw this and immediately realized I had to post it for you. Glad you appreciated it.
