The Red Sox still have plenty of question marks when it comes to their starting rotation. Chris Mazza, Jeffrey Springs and some others are in the mix to fill out the group once the season starts. If ERod isn’t ready, this season is ovah.

@ChrisCotillo Confirmed: Red Sox will play two exhibition games against the Blue Jays at Fenway Park before Opening Day. 7/21 and 7/22 at 7:30 p.m. They are already on the official schedule.

@TomCaron Red Sox Chairman Tom Werner, Pres/CEO Sam Kennedy, and other staffers are on the field listening to various versions of crowd audio, and at various volume levels. Manager Ron Roenicke said yesterday the team may try it for today’s intrasquad scrimmage at noon.

@TomCaron The crowd goes wild, as they experiment with piped-in audio here at an empty Fenway Park. Worth noting these crowd tracks reportedly come from the league, and all teams will be experimenting with them over the next two weeks.

Well, there's Netflix and Chill for that now. No reason to steam up your car windows. Also, making out in a car is the worst. Modern cars with bucket seats are no longer made for it.

With large screen hi def tv's being more normalized, I don't see any reason for people to be drawn to drive in's for a regular season sporting event.

So don't schedule the late games on get away days? A lot of teams avoid that problem. Red Sox ownership doesn't care at all about the issue. I was one of the talking points back in 2012.

Bobby Dalbec and Eduardo Rodriguez have tested positive, Ron Roenicke said. Dalbec is asymptomatic. Rodriguez is feeling better. Obviously both have to test negative before returning.
