  1. I agree. Maybe OPS’s over 1.500 in ST and tees off on AAA pitching like Marwin Gonzalez with a trashcan at Fenway.
  2. My Rosetta Stone software must have a virus.
  3. I was never a proponent of trading Beni, but here we are.
  4. He was a starter that got injured. He’s never been a backup.
  5. The only Yiddish word I know that describes you is panty waste.
  6. If the Sox win the lottery, Duran goes to RF, Jimenez stays in CF.
  7. That was posted prior to the Caribbean Series. Fangraphs article: 1/11. Caribbean Series: began 1/31.
  8. @RedSox #SoxSpring Revised Schedule: Feb 18: Pitchers & Catchers Report Feb 22: First Full Squad Workout See you NEXT WEEK!
  9. There's been a ton of clips of him on Twitter from his highlights from PR. Again, it's the recency bias, but without an actual 2020 MiLB season, we have nothing else to go on.
  10. IMO, he looked like he put on weight and then he slumped and couldn't get out of his head. I want to know why the hitting coach wasn't held accountable for 2020 version JD and Beni.
  11. Have you not heard about the Game Threads here?
  12. And what happened after that? Laser show. Or not.
  13. There's recency bias involved, but I think some people are happy with his showing in the Caribbean Series this winter. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=duran-000jar
  14. He's not ready. I think the vast majority of us believe he needs to prove it first. As with Cordero, you like the tools and can dream that he puts it all together.
  15. His swing is apparently way different than 2019. There has been a ton of adjustments to his swing since he was drafted. I also believe he started to get better at the end of 2019 in AA.
  16. Cordero was not "physically" playing full seasons as he was on the DL/IL. I think Ortiz was far closer to being considered to have played a full season. With Cordero, he's a big unknown. He's a lottery ticket that probably won't work out, but something you'll dream on.
  17. So you don't watch him play other teams and can say that he hits a buck and a quarter vs everyone else? Historically, he beats up on the Jays far more than he does on the Sox.
  18. Gardner: OPS vs BOS: 747 OPS career: 741
  19. NO, you see, in BROOKLYN everyone is a bum so it's ok to call him a bum. He's a pig. He stinks.
  20. Biggest difference with Ortiz was that he was at least physically playing full seasons (even if just combined with MiLB).
  21. 120 OPS+ in 2002 (20 HR, 75 RBI). Granted, he only went under 120 once while with the Sox (2009).
  22. Do you see the big hits he gets against other organizations too?
  23. Yes, have Duran play his way onto the roster first. I just means there is not impediment to getting to BOS if he's playing well.
  24. Should still have him.
  25. Since April 2018: Cordero: 105 WRC+ Benintendi: 111 WRC+
