    They should extend Bogey and Devers. They are the heart of this team. I think letting them go would just deflate the fan base even further. You have to play to the crowd every once in a while.

    He's 70% Sale right now. Some people have inferred that we have 2 aces right now, but it's just not true. We'll see if Sale can get back there in 2022.

    We will never know. Everything about the Betts argument is conjecture. The only thing that we can say is wrong is that the complaints about Betts' mom telling him not to take the Sox' deal are unfounded as Betts ended up getting a better deal after all.

    Who would you start: Arroyo 750 OPS plus average D. Iglesias 700 OPS plus above average D. It's close. Arroyo is first season ARB eligible. Iglesias will probably sign a short term cheap deal. I think having Iglesias as the super sub is a good backup for injury prone Arroyo. Also, Downs isn't knocking the door down at 2b. Arauz is barely an up and down guy so they don't even have a viable SS backup.

    Problem is that Vaz lobbies to catch as much as possible. He wants to be one of those guys that carries the load. He's just not that guy this year.

    Wait... So Plawecki has caught the Sox' best pitcher more than the other guy and still has a worse overall CERA? I thought Plawecki only caught scrubs and Vaz caught the good pitchers... Hmmm...

    @alexspeier Red Sox are having their team photo taken today. Phillips Valdez is present - meaning he’s done with his quarantine in Chicago. I believe he was the last Sox player to test positive for COVID-19, meaning that for the first time since 8/26 (27 days ago), no Sox are quarantined. You've come a long way, baby.
