@ChrisCotillo
Cora says Schwarber will be with the Sox "sooner rather than later." Asked if he could need just one game in Worcester: "I'll keep it as sooner rather than later."
I'm thinking Sox could activate him for the weekend.
Well then let's f***ing go!
Pedey and JBJ had offseasons to workout their issues. Duran doesn't have that luxury right now.
Pedroia's sample also wasn't "much bigger" than Duran's. If Duran follows JBJ's path, he'll be ready in 2023.
@alexspeier
Cora says Schwarber will start his rehab assignment in Worcester tonight and Brasier will have his second rehab outing. Verdugo is on his way back but may not be available today.
You are saying they mainly trot out Plawecki with 5th starters. That Vaz handles the top of the rotation. I'm not sure I agree that's the case. I agree with the theory, but not in practice.
Franco:
First 20 games - 632 OPS, 22% k rate
Since then - 762 OPS, 15% k rate
With a similar increase, maybe Duran keeps a low 700 OPS? Maybe his k rate gets to 30%? That's better, but not ideal.
The Sox have only won 1 title when under the luxury tax and that was the season that most people still call a fluke.
Did DD take a crowbar to Sale in 2019? Did he tell Eovaldi to pitch to a 6 ERA? Did DD mandate the additional rest Cora gave to pitchers that April?
Munoz at 32 games.
Feltman went 2 IP perfect, K'd 4.
Casas went 1 for 7 (double header).
Groome had 8 k's, but gave up 3 HR's over 5.1.
Yorke's hit streak now at 20 games (884 OPS for the season).
Yorke's OPS by month:
May 464
June 953
July 967
Aug 1656
