  1. If your only point is that you quibble with Kiké not having a career year, well fine.
  2. Josh Rogers is so good that the Orioles released him this year.
  3. It did help, just temporarily. 9/10 - 9/22 (coming back from IL to end of streak) 206 WRC+ 1151 OPS
  4. I didn't say it was a career best for ERod. I said it was an average year.
  5. moon, you are combining 2013's ERA and 2014's innings pitched for Eovaldi. Nathan Eovaldi fWAR 2013 1.4 fWAR 2018 2.2 fWAR 2021 5.6 fWAR best of his career Kike 2019 3.3 fWAR 2021 3.9 fWAR best of his career ERod 2019 3.7 fWAR 2021 3.6 fWAR
  6. ERod vs Rogers I told myself that I wouldn't make another game thread this year, but it looks like everyone else has turtled. We're sweeping the Nats and getting to the dumb WC game. Rogers feasted on the lowly Pirates and Miami offences (30th and 28th in runs and OPS, respectively). When Rogers faced the Mets and the Reds, his ERA was 5.29.
  7. Xander isn't aging gracefully? WTF are you talking about? fWAR 2015 4.6 2016 4.9 2017 3.2 2018 4.9 2019 6.8 2020 5.1 (prorated) 2021 5.0 Where's the drop off? I don't see one.
  8. Kiké career year Xander average year Raffy average year JD average year to slightly below average year Renfroe on par with 18 and 19 so average year Verdugo average year (last year seems to be abberation) Vaz below average year Schwarber average year Dalbec streaky, who knows what to expect one day to the next Sale has been ok since returning Eovaldi career year ERod average year Pivetta average year Richards even worse than expected Perez whatever Not sure there is much to say about the pen. So aside from Eovaldi and Kiké, who are these guys that are playing above their heads exactly? I think you just massively underrated this team and it's hard for you to say so.
  9. And I ignored your original response because you equated living with children to living with an adult that comes home at 4am.
  10. If Pivetta throws a CG SHO tonight, I'll change my signature to "CERA is real."
  11. My daughter is in bed at 7:45, my son at 8:30. Not sure what you are getting at, but this is probably another one of your nonsensical posts.
  12. We'll have to see if the Pivetta/Plawecki combo regresses tonight.
  13. Gammons wrote today that he believes Semien is a target for the Sox.
  14. @PeteAbe Per MLB: The AL Wild Card Game on Tuesday will be at 8:08 p.m. It's good that MLB makes these games too late for kids to watch.
  15. @PeteAbe Whitlock now throwing in the bullpen. That suggests he could be ready as soon as Saturday.
  16. @LouMerloni Can't ignore the numbers for Plawecki. Eovaldi and Pivetta are much better with him behind the plate
  17. @redsoxstats Pivetta tomorrow night. He's been great with Plawecki: 43.2 IP, 2.68 ERA, 3.67 FIP, .628 OPS Run it back again
  18. There isn't an "East Coast" bias. It's a NY bias, since that's basically where ESPN is located.
  19. I think it's reasonable to wish Betts was still on the team.
  20. https://www.mlb.com/gameday/orioles-vs-red-sox/2021/09/19/632419#game_state=final,lock_state=final,game_tab=box,game=632419 The last time the Sox went against Wells.
  21. September is his worst month per his career splits. It's just that his worst month was still pretty damn good.
