    @redsoxstats Tonight's Rays starter Shane McClanahan was the best college pitcher on the board when the Red Sox selected Triston Casas #26 in the 2018 draft. McClanahan went 5 picks later to Tampa.

    MVP awards typically go to the player with the better offensive numbers. A lot of Semien's value rests in his defense. If you combine Ohtani's pitching and hitting, you get 8.1 fWAR. He's barely a top 20 fWAR guy for batting and worse for pitching. I could be sold on a few different guys for the MVP this season, especially since I don't care all that much about it.

    He must have some sort of injury issue. At this point, I'd trust Barnes over Ottavino.

    It's not the same as "you said he wasn't added." As a teacher, I'm sure you'd appreciate the difference. The players that were included in the list were the ones that were already in question. Note that Darwinzon wasn't on the WC roster but was noted as "left off." We already were told that Sale would be the Game 2 starter.

    @BrendanKutyNJ I watched as Red Sox fans harassed Gerrit Cole, holding up a container of Spider Tack and a Kermit the Frog puppet, and they hurled all kinds of unprintable words at the Yankees ace during his pregame warmup. I recorded it.     I think signing FA's close to retirement and trading young talent is a great way to run a franchise.

    ERod vs McClanahan ERod carries a career 8.10 postseason ERA into today. This is due for some positive regression. Sox only had a 598 OPS against McClanahan in 3 games this year and have struggled lately against LHP. Need Renfroe to have a huge game tonight.

    I believe you, I'm just not remembering it. I'm sure everyone has been mentioned is some sort of trade scenario. Tanner Houck for Jazz Chisholm works per BTV. BTV undervalues Whitlock, can't trade him.
