  1. Story time kids!
  2. A sequence I’ve never seen.
  3. Hill vs Kirby
  4. It looked like they were lined up to fill in. Not sure why they went with a bullpen game. I think they need to fast track Houck to that closer role.
  5. I thought one of them would have started last Sunday, but they went with the brilliant Austin Davis start instead. Shows what I know.
  6. So he throws 2-3 starts and is shut down? Ok?
  7. Seabold and Winckowski do not have the ceiling that Bello does.
  8. Whitlock threw 120 a few years ago and hasn't gotten back up there since the injury. Since Bello has been injury free (from what I remember), they may choose to have him go to 130-150 innings this year.
  9. He's also only thrown a max of 117 innings in a season. If he's starting in August, it's going to be on a pretty big innings limit IMO. They will baby him and they will be right to do so. More likely he's up and throwing bullpen innings.
  10. And according to Statcast, he'd be better off playing in Cincinnati or Philadelphia. Judge is a big man. He hits the ball a long way. I'm not sure there's much of a Yankee Stadium 3 effect for him.
  11. A world where there is a press conference where they both re-sign on the same day.
  12. Yes, I'd probably just move him to LF.
  13. I don't think Xander is getting an 8 year deal. I think Devers will get an 8 year deal.
  14. That'd be an aggressive assignment. One we haven't seen from Bloom before. It's not out of the realm of possibility, I guess.
  15. I'd have him in the Opening Day rotation.
  16. We want that package deal. Buy One Get One.
  17. Good to see for Bello. I will caution that the opponent is that Scranton is 30th in AAA in team OPS with 652.
  18. In defense of A700, not that he needs it, Nick Pivetta was in post prospect status coming out of Philadelphia. We all assumed he was a throw in for the Hembree/Workman deal. Nobody on here was clamoring for Pivetta. Not you, that's for sure. Last year, he pitched well, but had interesting splits. Third time through the order, he was horrible with a 1011 OPSa and 9.24 ERA. At Fenway, he gave up 17 HR, had a 5.40 ERA, and an 839 OPSa. Not great. Of his 6 worst starts last season, 5 were at home. If you are someone like A700 who goes to a lot of games, I can see how you could have a negative reaction to that. His first 3 starts this season were bad. No doubt about it. Is some of that due to a truncated Spring Training? Is some of it due to him just being a 4/5 guy? He's a fine back of the rotation guy who shows flashes from time to time. He always had promise of a mid rotation starter, but just never put it together. Instead of trying to shove A700's face in it, just do that to a real troll like JDavis, please.
  19. And since every arm pitched yesterday, let Pivetta go as long as possible.
  20. Noted Pivetta hater gets it shoved up his ass.
  21. You say this, but THEY WERE IN THE ALCS LAST SEASON. How has he worn out his welcome?
  22. Hernández CF, Devers 3B, Martinez DH, Bogaerts SS, Verdugo LF, Story 2B, Cordero RF, Dalbec 1B, Vázquez C, Pivetta P
  23. @BenVerlander Unreal. Eduardo Rodriguez walks off the field with the head athletic trainer after getting just one out. He had been pitching his normal ok self this season. We'll have to see how serious the injury is. He'd be tied for #1 in fWAR for pitching for the 2022 Sox.
  24. I'm not sure how great of an idea it is to have a guy coming off TJS to be able to go every day or 2 at a moment's notice. Maybe he can do it? IDK. He also didn't inspire that much confidence in me last year.
