All of Semien's seasons have had SLG between 372 and 435 except for 2019 and 2021 which were 522 and 538. Seem like outliers to me?

ATL extensions: Acuna 8/100 Albies 7/35 Strider 6/75 Riley 10/212 Harris 8/72 Your extension $$$ is much smaller than anything the Braves put out there. I think it's something the Sox would want to sign after 2023, not prior to. Albies was signed after putting up 1.5 fWAR in half a season and it's now considered an insultingly bad contract.

Nimmo will probably be more than $10M. I think they'll spend less than $10M on DH if anything at all. I think they re-sign Hill and maybe sign one other starter. I don't see them getting an ace though.

It's luxury tax calculation vs payroll tax calculation. I believe his cost against the luxury tax is higher the last 3 years of his deal than his actual salary which decreases to $13M. I think it means they likely just trade him at some point.

The rules on international signings and luxury tax are much more strict than what they were back then. It was easier to buy a better farm system then than it is nowadays.
