  1. Just more expensive.
  2. My eyes aren't what they used to be either.
  3. It would be more like the Stephen Drew QO fiasco.
  4. 7 days. Downs would be today, Hosmer tomorrow.
  5. I see. Doval has a very high trade value according to BTV.
  6. You have no idea.
  7. @JeffPassan Outfielder Wil Myers and the Cincinnati Reds are in agreement on a one-year, $7.5 million contract, a source tells ESPN. The deal jumps to $9.5 million based on playing time or if he's traded. There's a mutual option for the 2024 season.
  8. The ticket cost is high (in large part due to demand because of the limited seating). They own the Sports Network. The owner has similar net worth to other owners that are signing big contracts (Yankees, Phillies).
  9. I think that price goes down once the season starts. if and only if: 1. That player has never received a qualifying offer previously in his career. 2. That player spent the entire season on that team's roster (in-season acquisitions are ineligible).
  10. Trade Devers for a reliever?
  11. I think going for lower level prospects just because they aren't SS doesn't make sense. So what if the Sox have Mayer? Maybe Mayer doesn't work out? Maybe you move the Giants guy off position? Maybe you deal him to another team?
  12. Valdez and Abreu have a little bit of potential. At the moment, I can't project them to be MLB regulars, but they are more likely to have an impact than Hamilton.
  13. The better bet was building around Betts and Raffy long term anyway.
  14. Eovaldi at 10M? I'm ok with it.
  15. Per DRS: 2B 29 3B 2 SS 8 Per UZR/150 2B 10.9 3B -1.1 SS 5.3 Seems like his best defensive position would be 2B followed by SS.
  16. Wendle is a healthier replacement for Arroyo IMO. Career GS: 251 2B 225 3B 89 3B 18 OF
  17. Devers, Wong Bart, Yastrzemski, Schmitt, Matos
  18. Per BTV: McDonough or Hamilton or Taylor for Wendle If they wanted something better like Seabold? Ok.
  19. @tylermilliken_ Joey Wendle has been a name coming up in trade talks for the Red Sox, per @chadjennings22. He’s coming off a down season, after slashing .259/.297/.360/.658 with an 86 OPS+ in 101 games. He’s part of a “revolving and evolving list of SS possibilities.”
  20. Who's to say he isn't Swihart's Ghost?
  21. Don't unload Price and then you eat that contract and you can't afford the dead weight of the Sale contract. Sale walks. Oh no! Maybe it also prevents you from trading for JBJ's dumb contract!
  22. That's fine. Mookie is the better long term option IMO. They can't sign all of them, but they should sign the best of them.
  23. They do need to field a AAA ballclub this year.
  24. They also have him listed on the projected WOO roster.
  25. Sports Radio takes? That's what we believe the average fan thinks now, moon? You fight Old Red about that incessantly... C'mon, man...
