  1. Why are we so overconfident in June? We all know the Yankees are perfectly capable of going out and acquiring a couple relievers and shift the balance of power. Not only that, on paper the teams are not that far apart. A-Rod's going to improve, their SP will settle in, and they'll probably fix that bullpen, so the fact that we're a bit superior than them right now is no reason to go mouthing off. Some people here are actually sounding like YANKEE FANS..........pititful........ Oh, and the whole 8-0 against them is a fluke, and anyone who says otherwise lives in fantasy land.
  2. Intimidation and effectiveness don't go hand in hand. Hey, you know who's intimidating? Jonathan Papelbon. You know who handed him his only blown save this year? Omir f***ing Santos.
  3. To be honest, Broxton is the most intimidating closer i have ever seen.
  4. I'm surprised, since you were completely convinced he needed to be sent down to AAA. Hughes needs to be pitching in the Majors, and now's the time to give him a chance to take hold of a rotation spot.
  5. I'll concede then, you're right. He should've bunted in that situation. As for Melky, the overthrowing problem seems to only plague him in pressure situations.
  6. Ichiro might go crazy one of these years and do it. He definitely has the contact/speed combo (plus the flukish luck) to have a shot at it.
  7. Why? Because he swung at a 4-seamer right over the heart of the plate with the tying run on base? If you wanna blame anyone, blame the bullpen.
  8. A .400 hitter will pop up eventually. But in my opinion, it's gonna be a contact/power/patience hybrid who can sustain a flukish .400 BABIP through a season on the basis of eye-popping power numbers. (See: Pujols, Albert)
  9. Bingo. In other words, it ain't happening.
  10. After today, Mauer's BABIP stands at an astronomical .424. That is impossible to sustain.
  11. *Hint* Look at the least developed area of your team and address it.
  12. Your inbox, clear it
  13. Good times. Life is good.
  14. Calling out spelling mistakes is not a nice thing to do. Shame on you, ms_sox!
  15. Thou needs to clear thy PM inbox.
  16. What, you think this is basketball? We SHOULD take 2 of 3, but in baseball, nothing's a given.
  17. I do. Besides, once Lowrie comes back, Lugo will be completely expendable.
