It would take BALLS to assemble such a team.
See, my problem with Theo's philosophy (as much as i value prospects, i follow them like a religion), is that, as a team with nearly limitless monetary resources, you need to be able to recognize the fact that re-stocking the farm system is not an impossible task.
Dealing 2 packages of minor league players for lineup fixtures is not a stupid idea as long as you can solidify the team long enough for the next wave of prospects to come in.
Think about it.
This team is OLD.
New blood is needed, and needed now.
Dealing a load of prospects for 2 guys who will stay on this team for multiple years and who are proven performers (Elite performers in Hanley's case) is building for the future.
Because, after all, prospects are just that, prospects.
