    Power numbers. Pujols' OBP and average cannot be replicated. However, as far as raw XBH power goes, i firmly believe Gonzo could replicate a Pujols-type season at Fenway.

    I'd honestly rather give Reddick a shot at our CF position and do whatever it takes to get Hanley and shut the revolving door that is SS for the long term.

    I was actually thinking of picking up Figgins in a 1-year deal. Oh, and you don't like my idea of replacement? Replacing our .302/.333 SLG SS with a .400/552 bat? Replace our .320 OBP crippled 3B for a 30 HR/100 RBI bat. As for Figgins, he's having a much better year than Ells, and is the ideal bench player if convinced to sign a multiyear deal, since he can play every position except C adequately. Sure, my ideas of replacement should convince no one. Just like the "marginal upgrade" from Teixeira right?

    San Diego already listened on him, and he almost got dealt in the failed Hernandez deal. He's a goner this offseason. And you wouldn't trade Ellsbury in a package for Hanley? Really?
