I think she meant taking into consideration cost-production. Hanley's expensive in both prospects and money, so by that account, Hardy would in fact be the best option.

This statement is false. Both HR per game and park factor have Comerica labeled as an "average" offensive ballpark, while Safeco is ranked as the worst park for offense in the AL, couple that with the fact that Seattle has a better OF defense than Detroit, and the statement is just plain wrong.
