  1. Hey i made a point and didn't attack. I said you should re-direct your anger towards JP "Unemployment" Ricciardi.
  2. If you run around with a puppet, people will call you a puppeteer.
  3. According to him, Lee or Halladay would have "shut out the Angels for sure" and we would have won at least 2 they would have pitched.
  4. No you weren't. You would have been right to be upset if the FO hadn't offered Ricciardi a package that makes what Philly gave up for Lee look like peanuts. If you should be upset at anyone, it's Ricciardi, hell, the Blue Jays were upset with him enough to fire him in great part because he botched the Halladay trade.
  5. I agree with the Uggla for left field if we strike out on Bay and Holliday sentiment.
  6. Yes, but IMO, quality of pitching can cancel that out. Again, this is a non-factor. The FO views him as a LF replacement and they do so for a reason. Everything else is fabrication.
  7. Youkilis and Uggla are completely different beasts. Nice power potential, but not much else. Also, Youk was a pretty good 3B moved to 1B, Uggla is horrible at 2nd because he has poor footwork and positioning, that tells you he might not be a very good 1B either. And again, the argument i want you to make is how is Uggla enough of an upgrade to throw Lowell to the bench or dump him on another team. Uggla in LF if we strike out on Bay and Holliday, i'm all for it., but he's a marginal upgrade at 1B. Lol sorry i quoted the wrong post.
  8. Statue's 2009 OPS: .811 Uggla's 2009 OPS: .813. Uggla's first base experience: 20 games. Best upgrade ever.
  9. At 1B Kilo? Lol upgrade.
  10. Source:http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/10353396/Wednesday%27s-buzz-from-the-G.M.-meetings The Red Sox brass likes logic. They use it.
  11. ^ At least i'm not a troll. How about that?
  12. So you think that instead of getting a LF who will only cost money, or a big bopper who will consolidate the lineup, the FO's time an effort would be better spent pursuing a player that: A) They're probably unwilling to trade. B ) If they traded him, would cost a whole lot of prospects, is owed a lot of money, and is not a spring chicken. C) Doesn't really fit what the common consensus would say this lineup lacks right now, which is power. Well, more power to you then.
  13. This really doesn't make much sense.. The little piranhas gimmick is already being performed by the Twins, and even they're backing away from it.
  14. What we can all agree on is that the Twins s*** the bed, and Cashman was dumb not to revisit trade talks.
  15. I really don't think replacing Bay's power with Ichiro's skillset is a good idea.
  16. What i don't get is the whole they didn't trade for Santana waiting for CC. They offered a legitimate package with every intention of getting the man.
