  1. The Browns suck.
  2. He'll say he was right in predicting the Yanks to win it all last year, but he does that every year. Fling enough s*** towards a wall, and eventually some of it is going to stick.
  3. While the point is good, a .700+ OPS SS with plus speed is not the same as a sub-.700 OPS lumbering 1B. Anderson's year was simply atrocious.
  4. I bet you'll be one of the first ones saying "See, i knew we shouldn't have kept Bay!!!!" if/when his knees crap out. Calling it now.
  5. The only "Non-OBP" hitter that was brought this offseason was Adrian Beltre to replace a "Non-OBP" hitter named Mike Lowell.
  6. His plate discipline remained, though, which is huge for him. I agree with Jacko that trying to predict his performance is like trying to find a needle in a haystack with your mouth, but my post translates to this: If he's healthy, and regains his confidence, he'll be awesome and post a 900+ OPS, if not, he'll suck, and put up a below .800 OPS and fall off the prospect map. It's really that simple, there's no middle ground with a kid as talented as Anderson, he'll either flame out or start thriving again.
  7. If he's healthy: .308/.410/.512 .922 OPS. If he's not: .250/.338/.412 .750 OPS, and we all cry (specially Doiji "Don't sign Teix, Anderson will be awesome !!!111!!!") and he falls off the prospect map. That is all.
  8. Could add a few more pounds though.
  9. *Sigh* If his bat plays out, it won't matter whether if he is or isn't a catcher. Just ask Carlos Delgado, he'll tell you.
  10. Pictures appear now?
  11. Wait, lemme try PM.
  12. Final picture is him in a tryout in the Red Sox facility in the Dominican? Dunno what's so fishy about that. You can choose not to believe it if you want, but you live, well, thousands of miles away, so i wouldn't blame you.
  13. I talked to him over MSN, and managed to ascertain the fact that he is indeed DePaula's main trainer, there were some issues with the Boston side, which is the reason why he says Boston is out of the running, apparently the guy wants some other teams besides the Yanks to step up in the pursuit of his client. He sent me some photographic evidence of DePaula's workout for the Sox, as well as personal information which i verified with my sources (but will not disclose here for obvious reasons). He's the real deal. http://bl134w.blu134.mail.live.com/att/GetAttachment.aspx?tnail=0&messageId=8ad7cf5f-1049-11df-be45-00215ad73f2a&Aux=40|0|8CC726D742C7670|| http://bl134w.blu134.mail.live.com/att/GetAttachment.aspx?tnail=2&messageId=8ad7cf5f-1049-11df-be45-00215ad73f2a&Aux=40|0|8CC726D73AB3880|| http://bl134w.blu134.mail.live.com/att/GetAttachment.aspx?tnail=3&messageId=8ad7cf5f-1049-11df-be45-00215ad73f2a&Aux=40|0|8CC726D73AB3880||
  14. He wasn't talking about this year, Imp. He meant giving an extended look at Reddick for 2010, and if he excels and an opportunity to trade Ells comes along, then do so and plug Reddick for 2011.
  15. I don't think Reddick's getting an extended look this year, specially with Hermida as the 4th OF.
  16. For the board's information, this DePaula guy is legit and he's not a troll. He actually just sent me a link to the results of the investigation on DePaula's age, and apparently he is 17, contrary to the information i had previously acquired. His information on Boston scouting corresponds to what i'd heard before, so i'm pretty confident that the Sox are indeed out of the running.
