  1. Yeah no. There's a difference between "Drinking the Kool-Aid" and being an objective fan. I like to see prospects for what they are. For example: I defended Clay Bucholz multiple times on this site, including from you. I've expressed my interest in Casey Kelly and non-existent desire to trade him. Even for Adrian Gonzales. I've expressed my interest over Westmoreland, and repeatedly advocated for the fact that he will maximize his potential if he can get past the injuries. I've also expressed my interest in Lars Anderson, but i'm not naive enough to think it's not worth acquiring Mark f***ing Teixeira in order to not block him. So what if i don't like Daniel Nava or Hunter Jones? I'm realistic. I suggest you try that.
  2. Hahahahahaha. Beltre has hit 20 or more homers 7 times in MLB. He came up as a legit power-hitting prospect, and actually hasn't lived up to his billing. How many times has Reddick his 20 at the ML level? Oh, that's right...... What a strawman. Also, it's not that he's not "Manny good", and Kevin Youkilis is: A) Not a good comparison, because Youkilis always had the pitch selection, body type and swing to be able to pull the ball with authority. He wasn't a "If he fills out" case but "if he maximizes his potential" case. B ) The exception, not the rule. Again, please stop being the Sox version of Jacko. Have fun waiting for him to hit cleanup on the Sox.
  3. No. What i'm looking into is the fact that Josh Reddick is not a power hitter. No one but you projects to be a guy who's going to hit a ton of XBH at the ML levels. He grades not more than maybe a 45 power-wise in the 20-80 scale. To further explain things: This is a power-hitting prospect: http://projectprospect.com/files/media/content/Mike-Stanton300x450%20Low-A-9.jpg Mike Stanton, who grades a solid 70-75 in most scout's 20-80 scale. The most i've seen Reddick grade out is a 50. That is above-average power, but not legit Homerun potential. Please stop being the Red Sox version of Jacko.
  4. Lol!. You just said Reddick's got "sky's the limit" power potential and i'm grasping at straws? Ok there, buddy. I suggest you take the grape flavor.
  5. First off, soxprospects.com. Enough said. Second off, i would suggest you investigate the difference between present power and power potential. Two completely different things. Present power means a guy who has the ability to hit for power. Power potential means a guy that has one or more ifs which, if he fulfills, will be able to hit for power. Adding "strength" to a wiry frame is a completely optimistic approach that has no bearing on a player's actual capabilities. Grasping at straws here.
  6. Reddick's a contact hitter with above average power, you say he's got "Sky's the limit" power. The scouts and the stats or you? Who do i believe? Also, Drew's quite possibly the best RF defensively in the league behind Ichiro. No rotation, no DH. Let him earn his money, not to mention neither Reddick nor Anderson is ready for a full-time lineup spot. Please stop.
  7. $175 from my back bet on the Saints. Pretty close there, champ.
  8. Tazawa cannot be a #4 in the ML right now, that is downright insanity. Writing him off without giving him a chance to develop is also insanity. Let us wait and see.
  9. I'll take a tranny with a .900 OPS any day of the week. Besides, he doesn't have purple lips and people don't call him bitch tits. I wonder who that is.......
  10. LHT catchers seems kinda silly. But no switch-throwers make sense. It's just too much work. Arm strength from both sides, and maintaining a delivery from both sides as well? Too much work if ya ask me.
  11. Because people who have the arm strength to throw hard with both hands are extremely rare.
  12. What i can't figure is if there's some sort of punishment if the pitcher tries to change again.
  13. Venditte has to commit right? Then the switch-hitter changes, so Venditte can switch once more. IIRC, the hitter has no restriction, and if Venditte tries to switch again, it's simply not permitted, and in addition to stopping the change, i believe a ball is awarded to the hitter, but i'm not sure, i'll have to look it up.
  14. The pitcher has to visually represent which hand he has chosen to throw with before the batter enters the box.
  15. The official rulebook says that both the pitcher and the hitter can only change handedness once during an AB. Problem solved.
  16. Case in point.
  17. Or suns.
  18. http://img.thesun.co.uk/multimedia/archive/00447/SNF06KATE-SPLASH-28_447700a.jpg Quick question: 12-year old boy or Kate Hudson?
  19. Oh, and: http://bentcorner.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/arod.jpg
  20. At least Papi and Manny are not phony, they do not have bad taste in women, they do not have purple lips, and most importantly, do not have a painting of themselves as minotaurs hanging from their bedroom walls. Oh, and they didn't join some f***ing cult to bang Madonna. That is all.
  21. Oh hi Crespo/Castigs/Castig's friend! How's it going?
