  1. Buehrle has had two. His perfect game was two years ago. Now that Greinke is gone, no one on KC is capable of doing it. Abysmal staff.
  2. Just got his 2nd no-no. Stud. Haha, the Padres picked Matt f***ing Bush in 2004 instead of Verlander.
  3. Great AB by Arencibia to draw the walk. Verlander lost the perfect game, but the no-no is still intact through 8.
  4. And Gallardo just lost it.
  5. Can't believe the Lakers are down 3-0. They're finished.
  6. Beat me to it. Exciting stuff going on right now.
  7. The Sox are partially responsible for their early success this season. Justin Masterson has been lights out so far. His xFIP was 3.87 in 2010. Must have been a victim of bad luck. Nice groundball pitcher.
  8. Thibs wins Coach of the Year. Rose wins MVP. Nice to get that kind of recognition, but they had better not lose to the Hawks. If this team doesn't at least get to the Eastern Conference Finals, the season has to be considered a huge failure.
  9. First complete game at any level is a no-no. He's not what you'd call a horse. Good for him, though, especially since he's having such a crummy season.
  10. Man, I hope Rose is okay. If he's toast, the Bulls are toast. And once again the intensity was not there tonight.
  11. With the exception of Lewis, my rotation was beastly this month. Jon Lester: 3-1, 2.52 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, 5 QS Dan Haren: 4-1, 1.23 ERA, 0.75 WHIP, 6 QS, 1 CG SHO Brett Anderson: 2-2, 2.95 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, 4 QS, 1 CG Colby Lewis: 2-3, 5.70 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, 2 QS Jhoulys Chacin: 3-2, 2.91 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, 3 QS, 1 CG SHO My bullpen had mixed results. Chris Sale and Kenley Jansen have been bad. Even so, Jansen's K/9 was 14.9 and Sale's was 10.1. Takashi Saito got hurt. Jeremy Affeldt has been so-so. Ernesto Frieri, David Robertson, and Heath Bell have all been excellent.
  12. I agree that Duncan should retire. He's clearly on the decline. His best years are way behind him. He's got nothing to prove. The Spurs aren't going to seriously contend next year unless something drastic happens, and he should end his career with the Spurs. All-time greats shouldn't hang around and let themselves become role players (See Shaq and Pippen) unless they haven't won a ring (See Malone and Payton). Go out on top, that's the way to go. Anyways, I'm glad the Bulls aren't facing the Magic. Rose always takes punishment from Howard, and there was one game earlier in the season where he looked tentative against the Magic because of Howard. Plus, he just took a beating against the Pacers. The Hawks have size, which will give the Bulls some matchup problems, but it should still be in the bag whereas the Heat-Celts series is a complete tossup.
  13. I assume Ital went nuts when Ginobili and Neal hit those incredible shots. I'm not even a Spurs fan, and even I was excited.
  14. The Bulls had a lot of bad calls go against them as well. For the record, I hate NBA officiating.
  15. Wow, that's incredible. What are the odds?
  16. Imagine how good the Yanks would be if they had signed Haren and/or Lee.
  17. We'll see, won't we?
  18. Bulls played like s*** for 3 1/2 quarters. Better step up the intensity, or it's going to be a short playoff run.
  19. Good call on Bobby Jenks, Dipre... "Regardless, Jenks had like 3 blowups exactly like the one last night in 2010. He has more in store for 2011." Looks like there may have been some validity to what I said, you know-it-all. I was also right about the Tigers being in on V-Mart, which you thought was unrealistic.
  20. He did pretty well with the Phillies on smoke and mirrors alone a few years ago. His stuff is probably well below average now, though. Might be worth a shot, as long as he doesn't ask for too much money.
  21. Barring a season-ending injury, NWIH should people be able to add/drop at this time. During Spring Training, as I did, yes. But not now. If you missed the boat on some guys, too bad.
  22. For the next 3 seasons at $15+ million a year? That would not be a quiet demotion.
  23. I've got a lot of pitching, and I know some of you could use more SP...
