  1. Green with an RBI double.
  2. That's satisfactory, Kot. You did just fine.
  3. 7 fine innings from Wake.
  4. Too eager, Jacoby! D'oh!
  5. Get someone warming plez!
  6. Green with a second miscue.
  7. I demand 2 runs in this inning too.
  8. Mike leads the team with 15 RBI. Toast. He's done.
  9. Base hit by Papi here would be exceedingly welcome.
  10. Was that NICK GREEN???? Of all the people... GREEN???
  11. Of course we're open to the idea of it -- Daisuke's underperforming. Fans tend to be weathervanes more than windmakers. I still don't think Theo would be smart to actually do it if we have a reasonable chance of getting the old Daisuke back at some point.
  12. I'm not sure why you would think that. Catchers get chances, as long as they're not absoltuely abysmal behind the plate. Worst case scenario for Kottaras, even after his rough 2007, was that he'd wind up with little more than a cameo or two as someone's third backstop.
  13. Population has increased and it's almost impossible for Fenway to keep up with new demand. Recognizing that Fenway is a unique resource all its own, I feel that there's a middle fround that can be reached between preserving our history and actually serving the region appropriately to its needs. As for "keeping playing in it until it crumbles down," I have no particular desire to want to see Fenway go through the few final decline years of a dying park. Better to preserve the memory of the park in its 100-year prime than that.
  14. http://sirocco.accuweather.com/nx_mosaic_640x480_public/sir/inmaSIRCT_.gif Doesn't really look good.
  15. He's hitting .240 /.321 /.320 /.641. That's not going to make anyone pant after him. It might get him a look for someone on a utility man's contract next year but even that is stretching it.
  16. If they get the kind of offer sheet that would stop them from affording Kessel, they're getting multiple #1 picks from someone too.
  17. You can't get this close to a sweep and not sweep. Gotta get it done!
  18. I think they just needed a win to get their confidence up. I bet they put something together now. THey're a much better team than the Bulls.
  19. Thomas lets in a soft goal. Tied at 2.
  20. Assist for Mr. Bitz. Bruins lead.
  21. Kessel just earned himself some money on that RFA deal he's got upcoming..
  22. Bailey has hit well in limited MLB time. Someone will give him a shot.
  23. over .500, hopefully permanently.
  24. Unspectacularly solid MLB debut. Got 2 quick ground ball out, worked around an error on what should have been a third, and finished the inning on a routine flyout to left. Doesn't really signify anything. But it was a definite contrast to Lopez' struggles in his own inning. Looking forward to seeing more from the guy soon, although hopefully in non-leverage innings for now.
