  1. COCO GET YOUR @$$ OVER HERE!!!!!!
  2. So far my plans have not been unduly disrupted by anyone else's picks.
  3. Fielder is younger than howard and puts up a better OBP. I know I'm not who you asked, but if you asked me that's how I'd answer that question.

  5. What? He's right. Look at Buchholz last year. You had a choice between letting Bowden leave on a nigh note with a fresh and talented pitcher available to replace him or roll the dice that he can shut the Yankees down a third inning. I think the choice in that situation is pretty clear.
  6. THat was a strike, Mike.
  7. Wedge has reason to be steamed here. Hope the sideshow distracts Lee.
  8. It's arleady the 4th wow
  9. This game is rocketing by.
  10. Sry wrong thread.
  11. Can't touch this.
  12. In that vein, exactly what did 1 inning of Saito hurt? Asking more than 2 innings at a go out of any relief pitcher, even one that's stretched out, is pushing it, especially against NYY. There really was no need to play this aggressively. Let the kid take his kudos for 2 good innings and then go back with a load of confidence to work on his stuff in the minors.
  13. I don't see the need to put Bowden at risk there. Let him have his 2 perfect innings, which is more than you could reasonably expect from a rookie anyway, and go to Saito, who's fresher. It's good bullpen management not to ride guys into the ground, especially if you might need them later. Besides, Saito isn't exactly overworked. He last pitched 2 days ago and was fresh and available.
  14. I've really been rooting for Lowell but this tear he's on surprises even me. I thought he'd be a bit slow out of the gate because of the hip. As for Varitek... wow. So this is what a bounceback year looks like. I haven't seen this version of Tek since 2005.
  15. Except for Javier Lopez.
  16. I take away three things 1: That this team isn't fazed by early inning struggles. They can, and will, make adjustments in the middle of the game. 2: That the bullpen is living up to the hype. A billion ways the bullpen could have fallen just short to cost us one or more games, and they did not. 3: That the New York Yankees are not very good. Also a billion ways the Yankees could have sacked up and won one or more of these games, and they did not.
  17. He didn't get through the 6th but it's worth noting that Masterson is the only starter on either team to get a win.

  19. Oh crap, bases loaded, no one out. We fail now.
  20. So I hear this Bowden kid is pretty good.
  21. Oh, and throw in Ellsbury stealing home too and this is a total farmariffic game.
