  1. Not bad. Mr. Bowden. Not bad at all.
  2. Green continues his improbable tear.
  3. Nothing definite, but definitely encouraging.
  4. Hope Jones is as good as I think he is...
  5. STOLE HOME ON PETTITTE!!!
  6. THey've figured out that we suck with the sacks juiced.
  7. Just a lil further next time, Papi.
  8. It isn't Christmas, is it? Because that umpire was definitely giving gifts.
  9. Can I let you in on a secret? Brian Bruney has started sharp every year, and every year, as he starts to wear down with the strain of the season, the wildness returns. I see no reason why this year was going to be different.
  10. I think people are scared by Mauer's size and what we're hearing about his back. Mauer isn't as tempting if there's a chance he might wind up at 1B for health reasons.
  11. I don't see why you would question that. Greinke has been the real deal since mid 2007 at least. Sure he had some problems in the past when he was rushed to the big leagues much too fast and found himself struggling as a result, but they haven't surfaced in over a year and a half of steady continuous play. It's no more of a concern than Lincecum's ligaments I think. And there's no denying, as you mention yourself, that Greinke should be a top rounder on stuff alone. I'm not any more concerned about Greinke's head than I am about Daniel Bard's. Or for that matter, Clay Buchholz's
  12. For your consideration: Even with last night's 11 run boondoggle, Red Sox are 4th in the AL in runs allowed, behind KC, Seattle and Oakland in that order. Yankees are ahead of only historically bad Baltimore in runs allowed in all of Major League Baseball. No National League team, not even the Nationals, has allowed more runs than the Cleveland Guardians, New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles. Yankee pythag stands at 7-10. Boston's stands identical with their record at 11-6. Boston's offense is tied for second in the American League with the Texas Rangers, behind of all teams, the Toronto Blue Jays. In the National League, the Los Angeles Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals are the teams that have outscored Boston. (St. Louis has scored 106 runs to Boston's 105). Boston has scored 105 runs to New York's 99.
  13. Went with the guy I probably should have taken in the first round. Greinke seems to have put his problems behind him and is really making the most of his talent, just coming into his prime, and is one of the most dominant, talented, and unappreciated starting pitchers in the major leagues. I now have Greinke and Shields, as strong a 1-2 punch of frontline starters as you could ask for.
  14. Badgers select P Zack Greinke.
  15. Thought Kinsler might be next. Was hoping he'd slip through the cracks.
  16. That wold be a strike on the inside corner.
  17. I hate defensive indifference.

  19. Sit down, Mr. Papelbon. It's Hunter Jones time!
