  1. Seconds left, draw in center ice. EDIT: There will be a game 7,
  2. WTF is this with stupid penalties?
  3. Corvo has single-handedly kept Boston bottled up in their own end WAY too much tonight.,
  4. STOP giving up the puck in your own zone! STOPPIT! EDIT: Do I need to be more specific? C'mon guys, neutral zone turnovers suck too.
  5. Knee on knee on Savard -- the Carolina dirty tricks keep coming.
  6. HOLY HALLADAY! I can't see Roy not going the distance here.
  7. What a hockey game the Bruins are playing. The Canes are actually playing well but they're completely overmatched.
  8. KOBASEW FROM BERGERON!!!!!!! WHAT A GAME BY BERGERON!
  9. SAVARD FROM LUCIC! WHAT A PASS BY LUCIC!
  10. Get. The. Puck. Into. Carolina's. Zone. EDIT: Good job. Now let's see you get it there for MORE than three seconds.
  11. STOP PLAYING TO NOT LOSE. EDIT: Uggh, Carolina scores.
  12. Uggh. Very bad there by Boston -- couldn't get out of their own way and wound up taking a penalty.
  13. Bitz, Recchi, Krejci and Montador standing up well so far.
  14. Stop icing the puck, idiots.
  15. MONTADOR FROM KREJCI!! Nice work creating traffic by Bitzy-cat too.
  16. You gotta be kidding me -- under review. EDIT: Needless drama. Good goal.
  17. RECCHI FROM BERGERON!!!
  18. The Yankees were a joke before the Boss took over. They do deserve a lot of credit.
  19. Not to mention their standing policy of throwing fans out who move around during God Bless America.
  20. *checks again* Wow.. oh boy. I really put my foot in it this time. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn234/tsomj/Demotivator__Epic_Fail.jpg
  21. So? Any group of strong leaders will have issues like that -- although perhaps not quite so publically. If product on the field is good enough that no one is gonna care about a couple public disagreements.
  22. Hard to argue with. There's been a complete culture change since they came in.
  23. Another guy you might look at is Jack Cust. He strikes out more than Dunn if that's possible but he has at least as much power. And we know t hat Beane will always listen to a good trade proposal. Last year he led the league in both walks and strikeouts and began the legend of the Jack Cust Hat Trick -- a strikeout, a walk, and a bomb in the course of a single game..
  24. That's exactly what I'm suggesting. http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/split.cgi?n1=lopezja02&year=Career&t=p About the same number of career PA's vs. RHH and vs. LHH (which is surprising), and what stands out is that Righties don't have NEAR the SLG against as lefties. If anything the question should have been how many lefties you expose Lopez to.
  25. I will never quite understand why Theo and Tito thought that Lopez was a lefty specialist. There's a reason he's always been more effective against righthanders. A lefty siderarmer with a fastball-slider combo has to control the inside part of the zone to be effective against lefthanders and Lopez can't do that consistently. Without an effective inside pitch to lefties, the primary advantage of lefty on lefty is gone because it's pretty easy to follow that sweeping slider disappearing out of the zone away, especially when he usually misses pretty badly with it, and then sit on the fastball. Meanwhile with the same arsenal Lopez can saw overeager righthanders off with a slider in under the hands and then get them to chase two-seamers that disappear out of the strike zone away.
