And this is why the kid needs defending. Any time the last start and overall numbers are both bad, no positives can possibly be countenanced.
He's reached the end of the road, but I was definitely glad he was on staff and we got some decent games out of him before he reverted to form. That won't be remembered unfortunately, and "he sucks" is going to be Miller's epitaph here. Which is a pity because he has, I think, actually shown some progress and development.
The Tigers killed this kid, the Marlins finished him, and in the end we couldn't resuscitate him. Pity. But I would try to keep him around in AAA as depth though, just in case he figures it out over the next couple years. Because that is a possibility.
