Some made up injury, I really really doubt they just straight up release Wakefield. I'm not saying they SHOULDN'T, I really don't care, he isn't playing a big role anyway. But just don't see them releasing Wakefield with how much the organization respects him.

I agree, if anything they'll probably DL Wakefield with some fake injury.
