  1. Philly would be the same situation as the White Sox, minus the change of leagues.
  2. Who cares? Martin hits, gets on base, and is a lot faster than your average catcher.
  3. Who's Carlos Santana? I haven't even heard of him.
  4. So? They took a s***** sport of cards and flopping and turned it into a respectable sport.
  5. lol
  6. I have yet to watch a Sox game this week. Hopefully I catch at least a little of this one.
  7. Alcides Escobar, SS
  8. I have a feeling this will backfire for the White Sox. Petco Park is a f***ing cave, US Cellular edges on Arlington territory. Then there's the whole NL to AL thing. I can certainly see the rationale behind it for Chicago, but I don't think it will work out that great.
  9. Rotation: 1. Daisuke Matsuzaka 2. Trevor Cahill 3. Zach Duke 4. Shaun Marcum 5. Chris Tillman (eventually) Bullpen: CL - Francisco Cordero SU - Hideki Okajima RP - Tony Pena RP - Jose Ceda (eventually, future closer) Lineup: 1. Adam Jones CF 2. David Murphy RF 3. Joe Mauer C 4. Miguel Cabrera 1B 5. Justin Smoak (eventually) DH 6. Adam Lind LF 7. Brandon Phillips 2B 8. Adrian Beltre 3B 9. Alcides Escobar SS
  10. Um... okay, this is news to me.
  11. Board is f***ing awesome today.
  12. Lind is another guy I thought would've been gone by now, I scanned the chart about six times. Rationale for Lind is simple... he's right in the middle of Toronto's furious offense, and I needed a lefty bat, this was probably my last chance to get a good one.
  13. Ortiz better start f***ing hitting.
  14. Doesn't matter. Orlando had shitloads of big leads all series and couldn't close. Closing is part of being a basketball team. We were the first team that had a chance to clinch. And we didn't do that (clinch) at all. This is fact. What does the year have to do with this? I'm talking about this series. If they got ousted in 5 and had no chance whatsoever, then I'd join everyone else in the 'be grateful for our season' serenade of s***. But we had a chance in game 6 to end it, and we let up in the understanding that we could just go home and win in game 7. I know nobody wants to acknowledge the psychological factor in sports, but Orlando had been given new life, and new energy with it, and seized control on borrowed time. Because of our complacency, Orlando won a series that we had the first chance at sealing. If you're the Celtics, that's unacceptable.
  15. Sheed... I don't know. He provides outside shooting and is another big body, but he is just a stupid basketball player. Fouls too much, flagrants/T's way too much, gets burnt (on defense) too much. It depends on how much actual talent he has left in the tank. He wasn't contemplating retirement for nothing.
  16. When did I say they wouldn't contend for a title this year? Foolish as it may be in this case with this team, I'm looking down the road. Plus, you never don't need improvement.
  17. Why the s*** would we trade two top prospects for a lefty hitter who calls Rangers Ballpark home? Make a stupider trade proposal please.
